Only remedy is to trap and terminate or a lead pill between the ears.
Too many coyotes and they have loss fear of man.
Nuisance animals need to be dealt with regardless whether it is a mouse, rat, squirrel....etc.
A fed animal is a dead animal. People using parks and green spaces who think someone else will clean up the garbage need educating. Can you just imagine if Coyotes were suddenly replaced by 300lb. Black Bears? I'd almost pay money to see that.
Yup, even rural communities are having a hard time taking appropriate action with nuisance animals. The mayor in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge received death threats when he mentioned that they would have to kill beavers and remove the dams that are flooding roads and farmland. The pushback from the general population who are not affected directly is getting out of hand. Not sure they understand the cost to repair the roads that are washed out.Quote:

But the city’s statement cautioned there are “unintended consequences” to feeding any wildlife, even squirrels, as that leads to encounters with animals such as coyotes and is “the primary cause of human/wildlife conflict.”

Interesting video. I've also used "aversion therapy" when dealing with aggressive or encroaching coyotes. It involves a loud noise. It's very successful. I haven't had one come back yet.
I wonder to where he wants to relocate them? Maybe another section of Toronto? :)
