I use a full or modified choke in my 12 gauge Mossberg 3" pump 28" barrel I believe... I do hunt over geese decoys in the fields so my modified choke usually gets the call.
hard to beat a good modified choke for everything. Also a 28" barrel will tackle anything you will come by in Ontario. Also good for resale value if you decide to go another directions in the future.
Improved cyclinder for all three. Hunt woodcock and pheasant with the dogs and kicking them up myself so shots are close. Geese are shot over decooys and steele shoot tight anyways.
Using lead shot, cylinder/skeet for woodcock and grouse, tightening to improved cylinder and modified for pheasant. Modified for geese as steel patterns tighter than lead. When we could hunt geese with lead I shot full choke.
I typically hunt geese over water so I use an extended full choke made for steel shot as they are more often a passing shot within 25 yards I find it really knocks them down hard or misses them completely. I never really use anything more open than IC for anything else I hunt.
Ic or skeet for upland depending on landscape ic for waterfowl over decoys mod if shooting traffic
Mod choke in a 28 “ barrel for field shooting geese over silhouette decoys, with 3 1/2” Blind Side ammo - no cripples with this setup!
Hunting high flying Geese,I use my Remington 870 Wingmaster 28" 12ga full choke. For ducks over dekes ,I use modified and for upland 20ga O/U mod in top barrel,IC in the bottom.
