Theres a farm in the Marsh on Edward st west of Jane I get my carrots from. I have attached a screenshot from google maps you can look up on your maps to confirm on your phone. The guy I dealt with was Neil, and he would fill the entire bed of the truck for $20. I used to have his number but I guess it got deleted. Last time I was there was last deer season. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a222e2c340.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...51c4f40b8b.jpg

Thanks Jerry, I'll give them a try
If you are really looking to kill one, buy corn or a corn grain mix. Otherwise carrots will keep their interest in the area but imo aren’t as good as bait.
We actually don't hunt over the carrots, we hunt in the Loring wintering yards and we always bring a couple thousand pounds of carrots for the locals. If the deer have made it there, the carrots will be gone in a week and and a half.
good for you, loring area needs all the help it can get. the MNR used to put feed out for them, but haven't in years. I remember counting 13 skeletons on one ridge one fall after a really bad winter, they were all curled up like they died in their sleep.
Good enough. Yes that area they will clean them up to be sure. There is a guy in Callander who sells carrots by the 800lb load for $50 most times in the fall as well. He is typically on Facebook marketplace. There is also this guy out of powassan. Sorry don’t have the callander guys phone number. If I find it I’ll post it as I keep meaning to buy a truckload for our place in Sturgeon Falls but the truck is always loaded when I’m heading that way.Attachment 42868
