Boat Lights???

So I guess I am going to need some boat lights since I plan to do some Goose Hunting from the river this year in the evening.

My boat is a 12 ft tinner. So I found that I need this.

• 1 masthead light (with a second masthead light being optional)
• Sidelights and 1 stern light OR 1 all-round white light and sidelights

I don't have a battery in my boat I use a 7.5 Merc.

I am trying to find lights that maybe run on regular batteries or are rechargeable and inexpensive if possible.

Any suggestions?

I bought the flashlight style with clamps as a backup set in case I loose my main lights. They work well.

That's good thinking GW. The CO's could very well be at the landing waiting for you when you get in. They can and probably will, make sure everything is in order?

Only need them for night for my boat. But I want to also be safe especially with my kid in the boat.

Amazon has them as well, I think it has suction cups if I remember correctly

You are wise to put nav lights on your boat.

The Safe Boating Guide (https://publications.gc.ca/collectio...-2011-eng.pdf0)
says you just need " One (1) all-round white light; and • Sidelights" for a power boat under 39'4" (12m).

as an alternative to "• One (1) masthead light;
• OPtiOnaL — Another masthead light;
• Sidelights; and
• One (1) sternlight"

would be overkill for a 12' tin boat.
For my 14' hunting boat I use the Atwood clamp on AA battery powered LED combined red/green bow light (for the sidelight requirement) and clamp on all-round stern light, available at CTC.

Pretty sure it's the law and always have to super safe with my kid in the boat.
