I'm ok with checking after 3 days with the right temperatures. These are not those temperatures to make that happen.
Then you have others who don't check at all.

Good God. Cameron and Sturgeon just finally froze yesterday with a 1cm skim of ice, and these lakes are north of Scugog. You can't even fish for Walleye on the lake so you risk your life for a pumpkinseed or maybe a dink perch. Speaking of dink, I imagine that dude will need at least twenty minutes with a good set of Channel-lok pliers to pull his dink and scrotum out of his body after standing in that water for 30 minutes!
I'll betcha copious amounts of liquor had a lot to do with it,too. Stupid never takes a holiday.
