Try the Mountain Wildlife management Area near Winchester. Of call MNR in Kempville for advice.
Sam
Lots of places to hunt, but depending on when and how your hunting will eliminate most of them. I wouldn't go near any crown land (Marlborough. Limerick or Larose Forests) between Nov 7-20. Period. So unless someone guides you into their own honey hole I wouldn't waste my efforts with those places, to much humanity where there should be deer. :)
But if your a bow hunter and better yet able to hunt during Mon-Fri all those places have some spots to hunt, with not much in the way of traffic. Another good season is the ML in Dec...very few local guys hunt that week so crown land spots are pretty good.
I also see on Kijiji some camps are advertising or looking for new members to share the cost of a camp, usually around $300 for the week, which isn't bad to get a start if the group is good.
Good luck !!
Here's a couple that are on Kijiji now..there are usually more when you get closer to the season.

Hello Sam, would you know if a hunter need a letter of permission to hunt at Mountain Wildlife management near Winchester? I have a letter of permission from the South Nation Conservation, not sure if it make a difference.
Thank you,
If your talking about the place just before Winchester down Armstrong road. All the fields are private property including the cedars and the swamp up to the road and some parts of the road. Straight down where the road goes to crap is the Conservation land it goes for about 1 km. Then the crown land starts. I hunt on the private part mostly. You need a permit for the Conservation property. You'll see hide outs through the private lands.
Thanks GreatWhite, yes this is the place. I was thinking to go by Loughlin Ridge Rd direct where the ponds are. I will call MNR on Monday to find out about the permit. It's going to be Grouse hunting tomorrow.
Happy Hunting!
Might see you there, havent decided if I am going tomorrow morning or afternoon. As I said the fields are off limit I think from the round about. everything on the left going down the mud road is private, to the right is crown you'll see the outhouse. Down at then end of the road turning left there is a gate. straight is the Conservation land on the other side of the road. If you see my blind it has a tin roof. Please deposits apples. :D (Where my blind actually is private).
If you see a white Jimmy or white Sunbird that's me. I will probably be heading to the fields and going to check some blinds.
