For the past few months I've been flirting with the idea of attaining and training a dog in the various disciplines of search and rescue on a volunteer level.
I've had various breeds including shepherds , cane corsos , boxers and our current GSP .
I'm definitely not delusional in regards to the training and discipline that goes into these dogs as I have a strong background in the emergency services.
Anyone involved in this type of training ?

We have fostered and trained many dogs for rescues that were problem children. then rehomed when they could go into a family situation. if you are into Belgian Malinois there are always lots available to be rehomed look for a young dog in need of help.
Lots of people think they would be a great dog to get but if you don't know your pedigrees you will soon find out there are many with temperament issues and then you compound this with someone who doesn't know how to train or read the dog it just spells disaster. you would be doing the dog and bread a favor working with a rescue group.
Just my opinion. as a breeder not knowing you I would have to think long and hard about giving you a pup to raise - train.
Nothing personal just I have taken back to many pups from people who do not have the time or experience to train a high drive dog.
