Was out with my dog.. Just letting her play. She wasnt going to crazy.. And seemed.fine outside.. A few hours later j noticed she won't put her one back foot down. She doesn't seem to be in pain as she's walking all over the house. Also when I picked her up to check her paw for wounds she didn't seem to show any pain when I moved her legs. Suggestions as to what I should check?
many possibilities. .... thorn , ice cut, muscle pull , torn nail, etc...... I wouldn't be concerned unless it lasts more than 2 days.....just the way I handle it.
( I use a magnifying glass for closes examinations of the foot.)
Just checked again.. Seems to be her knee. Or hip area that's sore.. Thank Sharon. I'll give her a couple days.
Could still just be a muscle pull. I don't want to jump to what I'm dealing with , with my dog. ( See TPLO thread.) I'm not a vet, but I'd wait two days to see how it is. Dog should be at rest though - not running around/ playing.

I didn't listen very carefully. Something about Neosporin being in it that upsets a dog's stomach when it licks it - then it has pain and an upset stomach. Worse on cats.Quote:
