Pump action 22's?

Had another discussion with my friend about pump action 22's, he's interested in getting one but from what we see there isn't much out there for new pumps and the ones we see are almost centerfire price. He doesn't like the Remington pump because it looks cheap (his words) and for the price they want, he wants it to look better. He doesn't mind the Henry, but again it's still pricey. I said he should watch for used stuff but he would prefer new. Anyone know what is out there for new pump action 22's?

Also, I have a Winchester model 270 pump action 22. I bought it used, it's rough looking but functions flawlessly. I've never seen or heard of another one and was wondering if anyone else has experience with one?

Mg dad had a Remington pump.. (Forget the number), but was the "field master deluxe edition" was a very very good 22 its around $6-700 though.. Worked flawlwssely and he never cleaned it.. Got stolen about 1 year after the gun registery came into play Funny.. The 22 got stolen... That was the only registered gun...

Some years ago we had a Rem pump 22 on the bench to try and smooth it up. This gun had been taken apart so many times by so many people that I was amazed the screws and pins still fit. It finally left home....
i have an old Visible Loader that is very slick to use, but probably no longer really safe.....

I have a Rossi .22 pump, take down model with exposed hammer and tube mag. Great little gun for plinking or small game......Boog

I had a Remington Fieldmaster Model 572 Sweet little gun, never had a problem with it.

X2 on the rem Fieldmaster. Still using ours. Only issue we ever had was it wouldn't eject wildcat ammunition casing if she was getting warm.

Saw two winchester 61 rifles on the epps site. Listed as good condition. Both were $829.

These guns are expensive because the manufacturing process is difficult. They have intricate parts.

I have an oldie, but a goodie - Remington Model 12A pump action with a tube load. You can still find these used or at auctions for between $100.00 and $300.00. It was one of the first .22s my daughter and nephew used when they were learning to shoot.

Have the same gun that I bought new in the 70's. It is a great gun, although many would find it pricey for a 22. Think I paid a couple hundred for it when I bought it.

My gun looks and functions like a center fire. Beautiful walnut stock with a nice gloss finish, nicely cut checkering, and deep bluing. Maybe they have cheapened them, but my 30+ year old gun is a looker.
