The only thing is that you have to pay for a non-resident permit in Quebec for small game which is very expensive.
Given the kms racked up on the odometer not to mention time/gas expenses incurred, it may be a good idea to hunt birds in Qc. We have been thinking about this since the beginning of this season.
the last time my wife and i hunted where we have our trailer we saw 7 and shot 4 she did get her first grouse and this was just driving the roads with the truck and yes i did get out to shoot at the birds.
It is the same for a Quebec resident that comes to Ontario for Hunting Small Game , it is 85 for small game , and 65 for fishing licence , I am originally from Quebec and always go back to hunt waterfowl as I have my own family pond back there , it is expensive but I do see more birds than here at the beginning of the season.
I guess it is the price you have to pay if you want a good time with family.
I think there is also an issue of a ZEC permit as well.
I live in quebec and i buy a onario non resident licence and it sets me back 128 $ including the outdoors card.but it's worth it.
