These guys are not leaders within the OPP. They are leaders within the union. Big difference.

That's all well and good,but,they are Association leaders,NOT OPP leaders. They do not,nor have they ever,spoken for the OPP nor do they have any authority or capacity as OPP command managers. Evidently,it was rank and file LEO's that laid the complaint with OPP upper command. The Commissioner's Office brought in the RCMP to do an "arms length" investigation....as they should have.Quote:

Well, yes I did and my statement stands. They are a sergeant and a couple of constables with OPP credentials. They are not "OPP leaders" as your title suggests. The issue is not with the police service, it is with their actions within the union. Once again, your choice of title is misleading and IMO, unfair to the OPP service. Misleading and a bit exploiting? Something the Toronto Star may do.

You may wish to down play it but as leaders of a union it reflects poorly on the organization and its rank and file members. If you have followed the Charbonneau commission in Quebec you would know that corruption is present at the highest level of government. Well, now we know that Ontario is not exempt with all the scandals that have recently been made public in the media.
