My daughter and I went out for the 1st time this season. We did a few calls and at 06:30 we had 5 Jakes in are spread. There was no gobbling this morning,very quite with a bit of wind. I asked her if she wanted to wait for a big tom and she said next time.... We had a tom decoy with a hen just in front and a Jake and hen to each side. Would have loved to she her face if we let them pass and rough up the decoys.

There is no better time than listening to the woods wake up in the morning and getting alone time with your child and just creating memories. I will be bringing my other daughter who is 5 tomorrow afternoon for her 1st hunt ever. She cannot stay still or be quite for a minute but will have me cracking up the whole time.

Just curious what kind of gun / ammo set up you have for your daughter ? I find the 3 1/2" long beards kick like a mule that had his balls wrapped in duct tape, and would be way too much for a small child to handle
