11 year old home along, 11 year old access to gun and ammo, front door unlocked, 3 break in attempts and no call to 911.
Nothing about this sounds right.
Very sad society they live in kids killing kids and no parent to be found.
If things were that way where I live, I would keep it for myself..... What a terrible place to live.

I owned two rifles by the time I was ten. A .22 Which I would take out with my friends to hunt or target/plunk, and a Enfield that was carried some times on longer fishing/hunting trips or over night camping trips. They were in my parents closet, the ammo was on a shelf in the closet. Only ever took it out once with out asking permission. On that one time there was no time to phone my mother at work and ask if I could use it to shot a bear in the school yard. We lived about a half a block from the school.
Teach safety and respect for the firearm and you will be amazed what kids understand.
I find it ironic the picture is probably from the U.S but here we are today. Many of us hunters have hunter safety story's while growing up but population has grown by millions ,society and communities they live in has changed as well - my point.
My BIL has a bumper sticker that reads "An armed neigborhood is a safe neighborhood." They live in a rural,predominently white neighborhood in western New York. Every once in a while,the odd car with non-white occupants cruise their neighborhood snooping around and when they're seen,the phones start ringing and the guns come out. It's made very clear what will happen if they so much as look like they're up to no good. Now,these people could be anybody from someone looking at real estate to door-to-door sales people,but,it's assumed that non-whites are murdering thieves that will be shot on sight. I pointed that out,one day,and everybody looked at me like I had a third eye. My BIL nudged his neighbor and said "It's ok. He's a Canadian" and they all laughed. It's just NUTS!
