Sucsessful moose hunt 2015

Went up Wednesday to Wednesday north of Thunder Bay, the last week of September.
There was a group hunting where I had hunted in previous years so we spent the first 3 days scouting and hunting other cuts, roads, lakes etc.
no fresh sign.
on Saturday evening I called a bull in and my father had a clear shot (32 yds, I hope so)
He only ran 52 yds and expired right on the atv trail!
a few hours of work (labor of love) and we were back at camp, finished quartering and hanging. In bed by 330am
weather was too warm so we packed up and drove home to get the moose butchered and in the freezers!

Congrats men! Not very often they drop on an accessible trail, but take it when it comes.

Great hunt, good shot, congratulations to all who participated, nice to see the skin off the moose for a fast cool out of the meat, should be some prime eating there.
