In Florida in 2 weeks. Orlando area. Anyone do a hog hunt down there? Thinking I might slip my bow into the truck before I head down.

We are going to Oklahoma for a hog hunt next week. Cost $275.00 per day. Going to be a bow hunt.
Chris, did they advertise in $ CND :)
$275 US is now $400 CND Peso's ...gotten pricey since the days of par.
I have booked a half day hunt with Westshore Outfitters for the 26th. Supposedly one of the best ones for hog hunting - and they are just off Hwy 4, about 30 minutes away from Orlando. Check them out, you may be interested, too. (www.westshoreoutfitters.com)
Good luck,
Las
Instead of going through the hassle and paperwork (& long wait) for taking one of my own rifles across the border and back, I am going to rent a rifle + ammo from them. (It costs an extra USD 50.00, though)
(I was also considering taking my crossbow, but knowing how hardy these animals are, probably even a good crossbow shot would involve tracking in that rather swampy area, with the possibility of a lost animal...)
reminds me of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkUXFriIlBE
Hi there.
I hunted with this outfitter 2 years ego.
He provided me with the riffle at no charge.

Hi "gunter", could you tell me/us what you think about your hunt with that outfitter? This will be my first hog hunt in Florida, and I am planning to report my experiences with these guys as well, but also would like to get some more inputs about other outfitters for possible future hunts.
(I am basically looking for NOT "canned" hunts with raised hogs in a fenced compound...)
Thank you in advance!
Las
