Songs Really maie you think about things

I head this song the other day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAe6uImyrr8 for the first time almost 50 years - I was stationed in Fort Bliss Texas at the time (1955) when it came out - It's Almost Tomorrow - it sure brought back memories when I heard it - was on the boxing team at the time and near the gym was a small PK where you can get a burger or something else to eat - when I stopped there this song was being played a lot at the time - it's something how songs accompany you through life - certain songs make me think of certain times in my life - some make me a little sad at times -

That's the beauty of truly good music, it becomes part of you.

Everytime I hear R-E-S-P-E-C-T by Aretha Franklin I think about being 16 and going out to Port Dover friday nights (Summer Gardens) with my buddy Wayne in his beat up 55 Chev. Still a vivid memory after many years.

"Where the boys Are Is Where I Want to Be" by Connie Francis. 1961 Every time I'd sing it my Father would give me a dirty look. :)

There is a few but "Remember when" by Allan Jackson always makes me stop in my tracks.

Battle of New Orleans by Johnny Horton. My dad had just bought a used 1957 Studebaker and that was the first song that we heard on the radio of that car.
I also thought the car came with a small TV in the dash but I later learned it was the speedometer with a screen like a TV.
