The cost of parking at Innisfil Beach Park is going up. However, residents will continue to be able to park for free with a valid 2016 resident sticker available from the town.
Earlier this week, Innisfil council approved staff's recommendations to increase the parking rates within the park to $5 per hour to a maximum of $35 per day during the summer season (May 1 to Sept. 30), and $25 maximum during the off-season.
In addition, a new charge of $10 for non-resident use of the boat launch is being introduced, and buses coming into the park will be asked for $10 per person, with children under 10 free.
The report also recommended designating parking lots 'D' and 'G' for permanent resident parking only – a total of 120 parking spaces, 22 more than previously provided.
