Only 100,000 miles right now and I got the lower block replaced, under warranty, six month ago. If I can double that the way I threat her I would be amazed....
My old ranger went 770 000 km before it blew up.
My dad had a 2500 years ago that was over 400 k

400k on my 2001 suburban with a 5.3 on a mix of in town/highway and some light towing, motor was replaced at 300k, rear diff done at 200k, air shocks at 150k, original trans and steering.
The newer ones have variable valve timing and 6 speed trans to get 21mpg which is much better than my 16mpg, so the mileage savings will be a help when I replace it soon.
I really like the duramax diesel suburban conversions (duraburb) but just cant justify the additional $20k USD.
I just rolled over 14K km on my "almost" new 2014 Silverado LT Z71. Avg. fuel rating is 12.6L/100kms unless I'm pulling the boat or the ATV in the box,then it goes up to 14-15L (5.3L V8). I bought my first Chevy Cheyenne in 1971 and have not driven anything else,since.
You must be a good driver, I'm averaging 18L/100km (1/3 hwy, 1/3 country rd, 1/36 town).Quote:
