My last 4 weeks
I posted part of this on my Barred Owl thread but I'll put it here so everyone knows whats going on.
Anyway on December 2nd my wife texted me she was at her Dr's and he sent her to a heart specialist who in turn told her to go to Centenary Hospital in Scarbrough.
When I got home she came in just after me and looked fine and told me it was too much for her so she stayed home. Next morning were up having coffee she looks fine I'm off with the camera 20 mins later I get a text from her she wants to go to emerg no time to tell the guysI have to go. I'm gone home pick her up and in 45 mins have her at ajax emerg. they put the heart monitors on and tell her she there till monday when they will transport her to Centenary.
11pm saturday night get a text from the SIL saying she (My wife) is going to sign herself out back to the hospital to talk her outta that :madman:
Monday she's off to Centenary for a catheter after the pics she needs 4 Stents 2 that day to open and artery that was 99% blocked. All went well and she was back home tuesday by noon but ned to back for 2 more December 19th.
Yes she had a Heart Attack they don't know when or how she worked through it
well she has them in place and doing great it was a wake up call for both of us.
We are both eating better and quitting smoking we are already down aprox 6 cartons of smokes in the last 3 weeks yes we smoked alot :ashamed: we should be smoke free in about 3 weeks :D
anyway she is doing great

Good news Rodbender!
Excellent job cutting down smoking in preparation to quit.
I'm rooting for you both.
....won't bug you for pictures...you might, "snap" ;) LOL
You and your wife just take it easy, try to relax and hang in there....you can do this!!!!
Sleep as much as you can.
You are going to be very tired and probably grumpy too.
Then one day you will wake up feeling like a brand new you.
Honest.

My daughter and I quit smoking 16 years ago. She quit "cold turkey",but,I used a Zyban-type stuff for a month that took care of the irritability and mood swings, lost a bunch of weight, quit eating crap and got a lot more active. So far,so good. Good Luck to you. All the best.

Best of luck and merry xmas and happy new year.

Hope all works out for the both of you. Consider it a new beginning. Take the money you were spending on smokes and put it in a jar and use it for vacations. Hopefully in no time your wife will be feeling like a new person.

A wake up call indeed. Glad to hear she is doing well and hope she has a speedy recovery. Wishing you the very best in 2017....

Best K, do the things you gotta do.
The physical habit is the hardest to break. Always a couple schools of thought on this but you could pick up a good vape with either 3mg nic initially or zero nic.

Best wishes to you and your wife.I quit cold turkey Sept/2014. My wife says she wants to but hasn't yet. Good luck and good health!

I quit smoking back in 2003. Hardest thing I ever did, it wasn't my first attempt, either, but I stuck through it. Sorry to hear about your run of bad news.
I wish your wife and yourself a happier and healthier 2017.
