Yes, but i was not really happy with the replacement. They seemed intent on booking me in for everything under the sun $.
Yes - I think that is common with todays Vets. A person walking through the door is a blank check to them.
Bremar Vet Clinic, Hwy 12, just N of Sunderland... 705 357 3184 Dr. Deb Been using her for 15 years or more and very happy with her. Very affordable...
It's not in the area you ask, but if not for you, it might help somebody else.
I go to Graham clinic in Hillsburg. It's 1 hour 15 min for me, but it's worth it.
We drive up to Uxbridge Vet on Owen Rd from Oshawa. Came recommended by the breeder, though judging by your avatar, might be same vet recommended by the same breeder. I don't have anything bad to say about them, but we also didn't find it anything to write home about either and may look elsewhere. We did have one visit that got away from us cost wise. It was a lot of me agreeing to tests and shots for two dogs without asking enough questions. But I also took my pup in there with a tick and they removed it, inspected it and gave me a tick puller and didn't charge for the visit.
If that's the vet you are leaving I have read good things about the one at Scugog and Simcoe in Port. And there was one in Lindsay that did well on http://www.vetratingz.com. We are taking the pup in for shots and Bravecto next week, and I was thinking of trying something closer to home if I don't feel like I'm getting a great deal up there this year. We will also be asking for an appointment with Dr Steinman, as he was the one that our breeder specifically recommended, and we haven't seen him yet. Like I said, I never really felt ripped off by them, I know it doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement, but we have to factor in a long drive past a lot of other vets offices for service that doesn't appear out of the ordinary. Being local you may find it well worth it.
Cindy Trann - http://mjac.ca/more-information/meet...ndy-trann.html - as mentioned in her bio, she knows working dogs as she has run NAHRA, CKC and HRC events with her dogs.
