I wonder if we could talk Mr. Downey into running for office as a PC candidate? His article makes perfect sense to me.
This is a very well written, articulate and factual piece. The Libranos won't appreciate it one bit!!
One of the best articles Ive read in a while. Thanks for sharing.
Now if only the MNRF would actually pull there heads out of their buttholes and listen...
A good read but falls on death ears....
I worked in the forest industry for almost 15 years. During that time I watched seasoned intelligent biologists with in the field experience replaced by young university bright eyed replacements. I always welcomed them and gave them a courteous benefit of the doubt. Until I would here things like look at all the trees you are cutting, or where will the animals live. Never getting out of their air conditioned truck to view the vastness of Northern Ontario. It is a sad time when social justice warriors whom spew garbage are influencing government. I remain positive and keep supporting the fight for our hunting and fishing through intelligent measures and conservations with like minded people. We need to keep at it and not drop to fighting them with garbage but with a sound plan and management. Out worst enemy our ourselves criticizing other fellow hunters for how they choose to hunt within legal measures. Suck up your your moral compass and realize we don't all enjoy hunting and or fishing on the same level. Team up or we won't be tagging out. Cheers

Incredibly well written. Thanks for sharing with us.
That was a good read. My kids got excited about all the "Earth Rangers" ads on TreeHouse TV a couple of years back and wanted to join. A little digging and I found out that Robert Schad is the CEO.
I agree its a well written article and I am sure you read it all but you seem to have forgotten which Government banned the Spring Bear hunt and which one brought it back. The author blames a lot of the decline in Moose on black bear. You might find it easier to work with the Libranos than against them considering how Ontario votes.I have not even researched how many policies came into place under Conservative Governments that are complained about in this article, maybe they were in power when the wolf fiasco came into play?
