Natives will continue to kill grizzlies!
Ended because it was socially unacceptable!!! This sets a very dangerous precedent!

Another reason is they were shot for the fur (trophy hunt) and left the carcasses to rot.
Banning one set of hunters but allowing another set of hunters to continue is no longer acceptable. It's time for 1 set of rules based on data and science.
Banning one set of hunters (sport hunting) but allowing another set of hunters (sustenance hunting) to continue is no longer acceptable...Really ??? How do you figure on gaining political support to block sustenance hunting by indigenous groups, presently covered under treaty rights ?
If hunting bears is wrong, then it's wrong for all, not just a select group because people don't like the politics of it. Ban bear hunting if their numbers do not allow it to continue, or just apply the same rules to all other hunting, by making it mandatory to bring out the meat and making it illegal to allow the meat to spoil. People love to bow down to FN hunters, but it's time for 1 set of rules for all of us, and make sure those FN hunters are not guiding or allowing meat to spoil as well, because yes they sport hunt too.
Our current governments at ALL levels run like scared rats whenever the Indian card is played
