I was leaving Bay of Quinte yesterday morning with my son. Big Island area.
We were pulled over by Conversation officer. We had fillets from 3 fish frozen in a bag.
When filleting I did not leave a 1" patch of skin on the fillets.
$125 fine for not doing that. Plus he took the fish of course.
I'm not complaining. I knew that should be done - just didn't.
Lesson learned for future.

Some times good guys get nipped to get the message out that it is important too follow the rules :(.

Yes they can and they are starting to. There is a section in the FWCA that allows them to do so and a process to go through but they have done this in the past and are still doing it from what I hear. They will send you a demand letter for the unpaid fines giving a period of time to pay at which time, if not paid go for a court order to have your licenses cancelled/suspended until such time the fine is paid.Quote:
