If you ignore the actual costs, the increased costs on other goods etc. some gullibles might buy it ... otherwise it is the Liberal I will give you a $5 for you $20 crap to try and buy the election using your own money.
I always have time to listen to people who struggle to calculate the tip for a server giving advice on economics and taxes when it doesn't suit their agenda. At the end of the day it's good to laugh.
$718 Federal rebate? I do not remember that much.
I did the math, the rebate does not cover the increase cost of gas getting to work and we drive a Corolla. They extended the "city" boundary, I have a farm, live on a rural zoned property and drive 50km one way to work yet they say I do not live in a rural area so I cannot get the rural benefit for the rebate. In SW Ontario you can be 15km from the center of the town and you are considered rural.
What I really want to say about this carbon tax stuff would get me kicked off this forum.
The cost of sustaining life in Canada has sky rocketed with this BS, just look at the cost of bread. Anything that needs to be delivered has gone up and will go up higher as you cannot just replace every vehicle with one that runs off the smug attitude of whole foods shopping citiots.
You’d almost think the idea is to reward those that reduce the amount of carbon used. Almost.
No surprise that you can't follow that.
