That audio is crazy - I thought you were in the middle of a hailstorm until you explained that the sound was coming from the ice crust crunching against the shore.
I've never seen/heard anything like that.

Thanks, Trophy-Seeker. This lake can really make a wild variety of sounds as the ice is coming on. If the conditions are right and the crust breaks up it can sound like champagne classes clinking together at a weddingQuote:
