Howled in 3, Got the lead one.
Been having a rough time calling lately. Just couldn't make it work. Last weekend I called behind my dad's place and didnt see a thing. Sent my hound in the same bush an hour later and he pushes 3 coyotes out the other side. That hurt even more as I know these coyotes were there the entire time. Not a large bush either.
Anyways tonight I get to the farm and see a fox crossing the field. Could have shot him but they aren't worth anything and i like foxes.
Go down the road to the next farm and set up by 5pm. Start doing female invite on the fox pro and I would answer with my hand call. 10 minutes back and forth the coyotes light up waaaaay to the north. I did male challenge call and more lit up to the south but a lot closer.
5 minutes goes by and I crank my neck around to look up wind....3 coyotes trotting across the cattle pasture. They are 400 yards at this point so I could slowly inch my way around, finally got set up and the lead coyote is at 50 yards and almost downwind. I shoot him and he drops. Foxbang goes off and the other two stopped at 250-300....miss....miss...miss...I was so out of position so I was making terrible shots.
Owell first coyote with my new gun. Male 36lbs. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a2e18a03bc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...cda3472276.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...1e04500b66.jpg
