This one is going to be a problem. Tasers are only good for one remote launch. When the subject turned to run,the threat was over removing the option of deadly force.
I think so too. While the guy pointed the taser at the officer, deadly force would be justified. Once it was discharged and it missed, not so much. Some states have fleeing felon laws, I don’t know if that is the case here....Quote:

Self defense he can say but it was only a taser that apparently missed the officer. Cops got if pretty hard these days, looks like the officer would have had no problem catching up if he didnt grab his weapon.
