I thought I'd start a thread as the season winds down and many of us are starting to realize the fat lady is singing. Feel free to post your pics and summaries here.

I had a great season overall, with a new dog to work over and many good days in the field.

It was a particularly satisfying season for me. The woodcock were cooperative even if the grouse were not so much. Found some new covers and met some new friends, both 2-legged and 4-pawed. But best of all was that my son has caught the upland bug :)

Excellent pics Dilly, looks like you had a great season! It was a good bird season for me too ... saw good numbers of woodcock and grouse this year. My focus now will be training my new Brittany pup.
Hopefully Pelee will be back on too for this coming fall.

Thanks, great photos on your end too Steve! How do you decide what gun to use? :p

If grouse or woodcock are on the docket, my 20ga Ugartechea gets the nod because it is choked cyl and IC. It is fast and open. The T&S “Nimrod” is German tight, so it went mostly for pheasant. The model 12 has Briley thin walls, so it can do either if I feel whimsical and the sun is shining...

Great pics, and great season. I managed 7 grouse on 3 outings this year. Looking forward to hopefully finding a started dog for year. Nice looking dogs you have too:)

Would like to but I seem to be having issues posting pics again. Any tips for putting up pics from a mobile? Keeps telling me “upload failed” and I have tried a few times ... even reducing the pic quality so it’s smaller.

I'd encourage signing up to a site like flickr. Sure its a couple more steps and bit more work but the results are better bigger picture uploads and once you get use to it quite easily done. The small picture capability on this site really isn't worth to do anyways.

Had a fun year. With the cancellation of Pelee had some time to explore different areas. Always a fun time when you can take a few hours in a day with gun and dog and connect with some pheasants.

I recognize those yellow parking boards. Nice pics and good looking dog too.

I managed a couple greenheads the other day with the boys. Morning hunt was by the river and the afternoon was in the field. You can guess who got what assignment.

Out for a walk today and was surprised to bring these home. The black DD can sure produce birds. He isn't pretty doing it, but pretty is as pretty does I suppose.

I'm hoping to get out for the first/last time tomorrow at Fingal. My wife and I had a baby just before deer season which put a hamper on my plans for big/small game hunting, but with no work tomorrow I've been given the "okay" for a walkabout in the fields. Hopefully I can flush a bird or two by myself!
