Something tells me this will be the last straw for many conservatives and a new strong political movement will emerge.
I feel very sorry for you guy's if indeed this might be true and you deserve better after placing your trust in him.
I am not happy about China and I would vote for any party that will take a hard stance against the Chinese Communist Government. I believe a lot of Canadians are upset with our citizens being imprisoned for no good reason and 9 out of ten American's believe China is a major problem for them.
Well I can't in good conscience support him, I simply just don't trust him or the cons after they stole the election from Bernier twice and watching Doug Ford and Jason Kenney's handling of the CV-19 epidemic. It seems alot are of the opinion O'Toole is just liberal lite I hope that is not the new movement.
I never really trusted him with his ties to P&G and his position on the Paris Climate Accord but harboured hope up until now that he would be the solution to China overload in this country. I fear another party will just result in vote splitting and we'll be stuck with the same old/ same old. It would be nice if this new Freedom Council could gain some momentum and possibly form a Party after all they are mostly already elected officials of some level of government.
Will it make a difference to those who vote Conservative, 'no matter what' ? Or just the small C's ?
Imagine the intel he's now giving the CP party ...
Speculation.... I had hopes for him but he seems more and more a disappointment. Let's hope he proves us wrong when the current corruption is given the boot! He really seems to be trying to hard to mess it up though! One step good, 3 steps wrong way each time.
All I do know that he has to be better than Trudeau that a admires dictatorship that would crack down on Hong Kong democracy, put over 1M in reeducation camps and in the past sent tanks to run over hundreds and probably thousands of students etc. Justlied's allegiance is obvious looking at his actions (the genocide vote for example) and by what he says. Given this guys track record only a dedicated accomplice or an ideologue would vote for him.

It does really make you wonder on many of his stances if dah Tool is appeasing or just trying to reduce the left a** kissing medias targets or just forgot he isn't in a leftie party.
O’Toole brought on board Jake Enwright, who was Huawei Canada Vice President & Director of Corporate Affairs. He will handle research and issues management for the Conservatives.
O’Toole has already said if elected prime minister there is no way he would allow the Chinese-backed Huawei onto’s Canada’s 5G networks.
Enwright worked for former Tory leader Andrew Scheer, leaving his office in 2018.
https://westernstandardonline.com/20...wei-executive/
Well it look like old news the Conservatives appear to have been in bed with the Communists even when Scheer was leader back in 2018.
I don't know how Canadaman is going to take this news.
I can't believe O'Toole has done that! What was he thinking ? !:scream:
I can usually count on several O'Toole posts to my Facebook page every day. It's been like that for the last 6 months. Since last Monday,I haven't seen ONE. Something is definitely happening.
As I've said in the past, the party has lost much of my support since the departure of Max Bernier.
For as long as I have supported the Conservatives, they are making the PPC party look better by the day.
Erin is doing a great disservice to his party, and making it much easier for voters to go elsewhere.
Substantially different than Butts/JT? That didn’t seem to bother the Left here or out there.
This will likely hurt O’Toole. But as always different standards. And it’s worth noting Cons here are actually critical of him and the party.
So I wouldn’t chirp too much :)
Would appear more Cons walk the talk than vice versa
Wow that is a pretty Mellow reply that medicine must have kicked in LOL
What about all this Communists stuff and Justin and now we have this.
One minute Erin is boycotting the Olympics and all upset about the Uighurs and the Chinese Communists and the next he is taking over the hot spot bed left for him by Scheer. LOL get the popcorn out.
Don't ever go to a gun range with Erin he is likely to shoot you in the foot also.
If this keep's up you might as well declare Justin leader for life.
I think the next election could shake things up in Canadian politics, with many more seats being filled with other parties signaling a wanted change by the people.
If I was a much younger voter I would steer clear of Trudeau and the liberals as they have failed Canadians on so many levels.
Our youth will be the ones paying the price for Trudeaus spending spree. They are the future of Canada and they need to really wake up and realize the future of Canada is not rainbows and unicorns that Trudeau and the liberals are pushing
I’m not sure you want Terry. He and cons have said this isn’t good or acceptable.
Can you or other Liberals here out there say the same?
I could rhyme off 3 dozen things of near and worse.
/crickets. (At best)
In the end, this just shows once again “all of them” are little different. But there different standards. For them, and within the electorate
Maybe he 's taken Kinsella's advice, the last post I got was the toilet video.
https://torontosun.com/opinion/kinse...me-big-changes
O'toole is an absolute joke and the conservatives are just 'liberal light' as they say. The only hope for Canada is the PPC, but that will never happen. Especially with the continual flood of immigrants via Roxham Road and elsewhere to try and ratchet up future liberal voters. This country is a mess.
Sadly there isn't enough support for the PPC for alteast another election or two * and a vote for them is just another likelyhood that Justlied and Libranoes will get power... then they can coverup the WE, SNC, force through C-21 or worse. They really want to use COVID as their "opportunity" to do things that they couldn't without the huge media payoffs and the lock downs and police ready to crackdown on any gathering. Mail in voting, phone voting... remote voting on the computer ... and if there is in person it will likely be voting without an ID to help the fraud along and of course making it almost impossible to prove.
Pinch nose and hope the real conservatives left can push him in the right direction, after all even in the Libranoes there were a few that stood up to the dictator wanna be like Jody W.R. and Celina C-G and a few others but given the coverups, lies, corruption etc. The Libranoes have to go or we will look like a colder version of Greece and Venezuela, we already have close to 10% unemployment and the government debt has now exceeded the GDP for the first time ever so we are heading down fast!
* by two elections they are likely to be back under the Conservative flag or both will be banned in the Peoples Republic of Canada under Chairman Trudeau.
I couldn't believe it either. He must've known he worked for Scheer too, we know how that worked out. Seems like he is heavy into the "Cancel Culture" theme, today he cancelled a Pastor's and his son's membership to the party, I am assuming for their participation in a "No More Lockdown" rally.

From what I have been told Sloan threw his support behind O'Toole at the leadership convention and the O'Toole throws him under the bus. The O'Toole upsets a whole bunch of the electorate with his video on the benefits of "residential schools" ,then he decides to threw some "red meat" for the base and declare his objections to China and boycotting the Olympics' and all that jazz but now hires this guy with ties to the Communist Party in China and Huawei. Of course we have to remember this company and America's dispute with it led to our hostages being taken and our present dispute with them and no delivery of vaccines.
So well done Erin your the best undercover mole we have had for the party. LOL
Yes he is a mole Gilroy lol.
Erin is turning into more of a tool and if he likes the idea of the new agenda I won't be voting for them.

I have said on here I like the guy and would have no problem having a beer with him but this guy cannot get the job done and he appears to have lost a lot of his base support. How much base support do you think Trudeau has lost?
I am not big into politics but I think you need to have a consistent message for the public.
My priorities as a voter in order would be
(1) Dealing with China. (taking a very hard line)
(2) Defeating Covid and re opening economy
(3) Immigration reform (stopping buying your way into Canada and inflating our real estate market)
(4)Equal transfer of money to Provinces for health card
(6)Reduction of national debt.
Gil. I guess that #5 which you missed would be about gun regulations. Sorry had to. Lol.
Number 6 lol.
That one's going to be an issue and the "opportunity" has to come from a boat load of coin where is it going to come from . We will be paying for this opportunity for many years before the spending stops.
No budget release for 2 years wth
But I agree with you nothing much has been talked about everyone is hiding from the virus.
Everyone wants more money health care ,air Canada , the school's next . How are we going to reshape Canada "the opportunity" plus pay for everything else.
The opportunity is going to drown out many that are just scrapping by. This is were the agenda takes places . When the average Canadians can't afford anything..

According to your article O'toole says that he would ban Huawei Networks on Sept.17. Seems to me The Western Standard is misleading it's readers. This Rebel article contradicts that.

After watching videos and reading articles I’m left speechless. I don’t envy younger voters. There’s no good options. I think it’s getting harder to look past the propaganda and decipher real from fake. I think trust issues are real. Who can you trust anymore in the political arena? There’s too many personal agendas in our political parties to properly address the nations problems. I think we are heading for some darker times ahead, but I hope I’m wrong.
I think you right..the economy is in dire straights and we need a strong (majority) fiscal government. I don't think that will happen, the Liberals have proven they can't be left in charge of our money (WE scandle) and the Conservatives aren't offering us a viable alternative.
All we can hope for is a minority government again and make it work.
Sharon over 65% are going to be the coming in with money to open business and so forth, this is great for the real estate market if you happen to own a place, but if your are in late 20,30's your struggling to find any home as a first time buyer.
One of the groups will be from Hong Cong, we had them come in to Canada in the 80,s, saw a big spike in real estate prices.
Many bought here and when the Communist's did not initially mess up Hong Cong they sold and went back home. None of this helps Canadian born who cannot afford a home.
I'll have to think on that. :)
And how much of their earning are sent back home to their families? That does our economy no good.
Empirically false, those numbers are pre Justlied Trudeau government, since then the total immigration numbers have been increased to about 300,000 and 20% are refugees (come with nothing) and about 35% are family sponsored. The processing and screening has also been a disaster since the 60% increase the LIbErals put in place and many just end up warehoused at hotels at taxpayer expense. With the unemployment quickly flying toward 10% all the huge numbers coming into the country at this time are doing is making a bad situation worse and making it almost impossible to properly screen them!
Why the 401,000 target is achievable
The levels plan calls for about 60 per cent of immigrants to be welcomed under the economic class, about 25 per cent through the family class, and about 15 per cent under the refugee and humanitarian class.

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-im...1994#gs.vgwb6v
That is the problem lots of money flows back home and resources here get more strained.
We have a few homes by me with recent immigrants that are supposed to be single family dwellings, but the cost of real estate means two or three families with kids are sharing the same home. This put's a strain on local school's as thy are using the same address and even garbage pick up. In other word's they are not paying their share of property taxes individually so they go up across the board for everyone.
Then the reality..from the Frazier Institute...https://www.fraserinstitute.org/arti...-deeply-flawedQuote:
According to security and police experts, Canada provides haven to about 50 terrorist groups. The preferred method of entry is simple: flush identification papers down the plane’s toilet (so your story can’t be traced), claim refugee status at Canada customs, pitch a practiced story, and walk out a free terrorist, eligible for paraphernalia of welfare, social and medical benefits unrivalled by any other nation.
On a per capita basis, Canada accepts six times as many refugees as the United States and four times the average among members of the Convention on Refugees. This is because Canada’s open welfare system attracts more applicants and because of Canada’s high acceptance rate (46 per cent). The United States accepts 21 per cent. Other large refugee-accepting nations receive an average of 15 per cent. This is not because other nations are turning away legitimate refugees but because Canada’s system can’t distinguish between legitimate refugees and fraud.
In any event, no hardly means no. Refugee appeals take years, costing taxpayers much treasure in welfare and legal bills. Mohammed Issa Mohammed cost Canadian taxpayers $3 million in legal costs alone. He entered Canada on a visa and was ordered deported after being identified as a terrorist. He claimed refugee status and launched 40 appeals over 15 years, while being supported, with his family, by welfare and other social payments.
Consider Ahmed Ressam. He claimed refugee status in Canada in 1994, failed to show up for his hearing, and thus was ordered deported. He remained in Canada, acquired a criminal record, associated with terrorists, visited Afghanistan for training, returned to Canada, fraudulently acquired a Canadian passport, and began assembling explosives. A wary US customs agent arrested him trying to enter the United States in 1999 with a carload of explosives bound for the Los Angeles airport.
Ressam is hardly unique. Citizenship Canada can’t find 27,000 fake refugees who have been ordered deported.
Yep, if you look at Giggles ... I mean Gilroys links they are getting more and more desperate it seems if those are his evidence! They read like a tofu restaurant saying tofu is the only food people should eat to save the world. Ignoring the current situation, the overloaded system and the current social/economic situation with unemployment going nuts and debt being treated like a bottomless well they can keep taking from.... system is broke and well is dry.
Yea I think there will be a few years before we have our own house in order before we throw out the welcome mat for a new residants that will further tax the system.
The Village Idiot can't even afford to give the provinces the money they need now for health care, but wants to add a further 400,000 into the system.
"Yep, if you look at Giggles ... I mean Gilroys links they are getting more and more desperate it seems if those are his evidence"
I think you would have to look at your own increasing numerous and desperate link's to get a fair comparison. LOL
^^^^^^^^^ poor canada!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was listening to CP Hot properties on Thursday and I had heard the condo market was down 3.7% on the radio. Al Sinclair on the show stated he had a bidding war on one condo with 13 offers. Mind you last week he spoke of a cottage in the Kawartha's a lake frontage with 77 offer on it. So with that in mind it will not just be the GTA.
As I have mentioned the Chinese are buying up everything around me in Mississauga and the last two big acreage places with homes up at the cabin were also bought by Chinese, in fact there are some small lakes completely bought up with all the surrounding land that a Chinese Corporation want's to develop and its 2 1/2 hrs from the GTA.
Erin O'toole can't be as bad as the worst in our country's history
https://niagaraindependent.ca/is-the...vernment-ever/
Good article...a true litany of the Liberals failure to serve Canadians.
And in case someone uses the expression "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't" .....sorry, that doesn't include the continued collapse of our economy with a Village Idiot who wants to continue massive funding for his pet projects ie: Climate Change. Those will not lead an economic recovery.
Let 1.2mm sink in. 70% of those will head to the GTA.
Think housing is expensive now? Think congestion is bad now? Think Tory whines now? Think land taxes are bad now?
Terry. My fiancé is joining a R/E team that covers Durham to the Kawarthas. They want her, because we are near Lindsay. So she can specialize this area. The expected growth is just nuts.
/looks for the jobs
/looks for the infrastructure
O’Toole
Pretty clear to me, what he’s really all about is pandering for the GTA vote. Hence moving pretty far left.
It is what it is
I just finished watching this video on a former CIA whistleblower.
Although American its seems apropos.

Interesting, the Village Idiot and his minion of lackys have made it so bad in Canada...even the immigrants and refugees are leaving. They think it's better back were they came from HaHa..
Quote:
The economic and life disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has prompted some recent immigrants to leave Canada and return to their countries of origin, where they have more social and family connections.
The number of permanent residents who have been in Canada for less than five years declined by four per cent to 1,019,000 by the end of 2020 from 1,060,000 the year before, according to an analysis of Statistics Canada’s labour force survey that measures the number of workers between 15 and 65 years old by their immigration status.
Quote:
Falconer said the government is focusing on transitioning temporary residents in Canada to permanent status.
“It’s the best thing to do for people who are living here,” he said. “But in terms of this population growth, it’s a wash, meaning that we’re not actually increasing our population.”
He said this policy is necessary but not sufficient to help the government meet its high immigration target this year.
“Not every temporary resident wants to become a Canadian permanent resident or Canadian citizen. Some of them are here to work, to study and they are perfectly happy to go back home.”
He said the incentive for the government is still to try to increase immigration numbers, especially in jobs related to health care and technology because having fewer immigrants will harm these two sectors more than others.
They're on to him in India too.
