The 9th circuit court is one of the most liberal courts in our country - it is also the court that has the most decisions reversed - this ruling won't stand up when reviewed by the U. S. Supreme Court - I'm not worrying about this decision - Americans will never give up their guns - no matter what the law saids - we value our freedom too much - America's are the freest people in the world - by the way - the 2nd amendment also protects the right to have ammo for the guns

It’s the “bear arm” part that seems to be being argued here. The 2nd amendment as it’s been interpreted for years has been clear that in the USA it is a right. Here in Canada it is viewed by most as a privilege. Sure under property rights one can make the argument that it is a right. But in the broader view it is not. (A PAL is required.) You have the right to own a car, but there are licensing and registration requirements to use that vehicle other than on your own property. Certainly will be interesting to see where it goes.
But the 9th from what I read are bringing in controls, not bans???
So would it not fall under well regulated? I’m thinking lawyers will argue that for eternity.

You got it wrong - we are not afraid or paranoid - we just recognize that there could be situations where having a gun available is prudent - should you go into grizzly bear country would it be. prudent to have a firearm with you - you don't necessarily need to be afraid - there are bad people out there and as the Boy Scouts use to say - be prepared - when I carry a gun I am not afraid - I feel secure - then there is the bigger picture - knowing that a government can enslave its citizens when they are disarmed the right to bear arms is very important - just look at history for plenty of examples of that happening - it is happening all over the world today -Quote:

I grew up in what at the time was a typical blue collar hood. Once, when i was about 12-14 and home alone at night I heard someone at the front door.I grabbed my dads .303, put 5 in the magazine ready to slam it and the bolt home right fast. Never had to find out thankfully.
Much later in life, the wife and kids were in bed asleep around mid night when I heard someone running from my front to back yard. Her hair was a mess, she was shaking, barefoot, dirt and mud plainly visible. I let her in. "What's happening"? "My husband is after me, he's going to kill me". I closed and locked the door, turned off the lights, called 911. Questions back and forth. One being "Is he armed?"
So I asked her, she said "Yes, he's a cop".
Do I wish at that very second I had a gun in the house?
You bet your hieny I did. There was me, my wife, my kids and her.

OPP and Regional Police services get to know who the retards are and can almost guarantee who pulled the pisser as soon as they get the occurrence. That was the beauty of community policing for us. I would guess up my way you got a 30% chance of scoring a firearm in a break in to a home, probably less chance in a cabin as most hunters do not store guns in cabins out of the way. For a regular home, check the driveway for home being empty ,no footprints for a few days, other indicators hunting decals on parked trucks, ATV's on driveways in past with gun carriers.Quote:
