Manipulating stats

Lilley provides a perfect example on how they are utilizing stats to continue with their fear mongering.

"Take the issue of hospitalizations and ICU admissions, something critical for understanding how Ontario’s system is handling COVID-19."
"To show the growth of hospitalizations, the Science Table compared Dec. 26, 2020 to March 28, 2021 and noted a 21% growth in hospitalizations and 28% growth in ICU admissions. The date they picked was a low point for hospital admissions with just 755 COVID patients on Dec. 26 compared to 917 on March 28."

"Just the day before, on Dec. 25 there were 998 people in hospital. If you want to show a sharp rise then you pick the lowest point as your starting point. If the Science Table had used the seven-day rolling average there would be no big jump in hospitalizations to report."

"The modelling from Thursday only divides people into two categories, those over 60 and those under 60. That presentation showed that while only 30% of ICU admissions from Dec. 14-20, 2020 were under the age of 60, for the week of March 15-21, 2021 that age group accounted for 46% of admissions.""So, are we seeing a spike in people in their 20s filling up ICUs? Despite plenty of reporting that makes it sound that way, it isn’t the case."

"The rise in people under 60 was predominantly those aged 50-59, they went from 24 admissions to 41 admissions. It’s concerning to see this moving younger but describing people 50-59 as if they are in their 20s is simply not being honest."

I'm beginning to think this lock down has less to do with spreading the virus as it does with coercing people into get the vaccine. Remind us what it's like if we don't all get vaccinated.

They've really ramped up the fear mongering just as the reports from the vaccination centres that people are not showing up in the numbers that they expected and some are walking away from getting shots when offered particular vaccines. Vaccine hesitancy is on the rise with news of blood clots and increased side effects problems with the 2nd 'booster' shot etc...

It's not rolling out as well as the politicians had planned...time to take away some freedom till we learn to comply.

DING DING DING we have a winner.

They are trying to scare people into taking the vaccine because they know they can't mandate it. A little research and a little critical thinking exposes the whole COVID vaccine scam.

Welcome to the Medical Industrial complex. Pay attention to the amount of adds for pharmaceuticals there are during the news in the US. It explains why the US media is not critical of big pharma, because they are paying the bills. I don't watch Canadian news are there pharma commercials on Canadian channels?

I don't understand what the goal is any more with these on again/off again restrictions. Initially it was to flatten the curve and prevent overwhelming hospitals, but that was achieved long ago. It seems these news conferences and new restictions are just for dramatic effect.

I was thinking something was smelling fishy .
I was kinda thinking as the older population got it's vaccine it's keeping them out of the he hospital . Since they have the room they are now just keeping younger patients. Keeping some of the people they would of let go home previously . It was just a thought with more room in the hospital it only makes sense to fill the beds with younger patients than in December.

Saw an article that was asking if we should vaccine the children next .

Yeah, I was under the impression it was to secure PPE after Trudeau threw away the expired stuff then gave the rest to China, and give manufacturers time to build everyone a ventilator.

The shutdown was only supposed to be as we prepare for the rise in cases.

We didn't do that still haven't done that we didn't plan or prepare for a rise in cases.

So now we are shutdown again as the government does little to protect its people against the rise in cases.
In all seriousness what has the government done to prepare for an increase in hospitalizations ?

Social re-engineering. Its the goal of the globalist elites that are pulling the puppet strings of our government. Their goal is, "you will have less and be happy".
The destruction of small business (hospitality)is in place at present. Can't have 10 people in a restaurant but Costco can have 1000 customers inside at any time. International travel is happening everyday but were told not to travel.
Its really showing the globalist pigs how easy its being for them to have their way with us.

They had far more cases (per capita) and they flouted the distancing/mask recommendations. So their population as a whole has better Herd (natural) immunity. So they're better equipped to handle the 3rd wave....and that they are inoculating 2 million a day... HaHa..

Oh I know this is the route we wanted to take. The slow and long way I think I said that a year ago might come back to bite us in the arse this fall. That's why the USA should be better than Canada in the longer run. Guess we will see how it plays out this is far from over for Canadians .

I suspect that the vaccination push and fear mongering is because those in the know are really really worried about a variant that has high fatality. Maybe, maybe not.

The psychology is much bigger than the components involved. You can't use troops to control large populations, now they have the media and soon enough, drones and robots. They're happy to tell you what they're doing, the just make it sound acceptable, lipstick on a pig basically. Haven't you heard the term "the new normal" lately, or "say good-bye to the 9 to 5?". Virus or not, if you saw this today's events 2 years ago, you'd think you were watching a psi-fi film. Here's the test, let's see if after this, whether it ends or not, whether people become empowered (or the economy comes back)

I have been warning of this for the last 6 years at least under Agenda 21 or 2030. The rise of state authorisms. COVID is agenda driven method in which they are deploying it.

The fear-mongering is all a liberal ploy for votes. Scared people vote liberal because they think the liberal government will save them. From covid, from global warning, from any friggin' think you can think of. It is working at a global level and also here in Canada. People who realise that the the liberal government has no special power over global warning, covid or the like are likely not liberal voters. You can almost use the federal election results for a gullibility test for the nation - and we are a bunch of suckers.

Statistics do not show any truth. Statistics by nature is the manipulation of a data base to show a specific pattern and can be manipulated either way.

Yep.

In University stat's was something that we needed to take every year and in my first year we were given the same data set and we had to have a data based debate on different sides of an issue. To this day I still use stats for work in SixSigma Projects.

The issue, as I see it, we are dealing with a group of people that believe they are absolutely correct and do not want to entertain a debate with anyone contrary to their beliefs regardless of the data (statistics) that are presented. Ignorance in the purist form.

Actually giving the older people the vaccine first was an attempt to keep them out of the funeral homes. Because the younger groups are more mobile and fun loving they want to get them vaccinated now, to slow the evolution of the many variances. Its possible at the rate this virus mutates it may eventually arrive at point, where they will have to deal with resistance variance, and possible have to start all over again scrabbling to come up with a new vaccine to deal with it. What is not clear is if they can arrive at an measure of containment for this virus. The more opportunity it has to infect hosts, gives the virus a further opportunities to mutate. IUC stats are merely secondary to this more pressing race.
