Insurance coverage and the vaccine

There has ben some reports of insurance coverage being voided by companies due to the fact that the vaccines were released under "Emergency Use Authorization" designation.

Best to check with your provider if you intend to or have gotten the covid shot and see if this applies to you. No point in continuing on paying
premiums if the claim will be denied at a future date. They certainly won't call and tell you. No harm in checking.
You cannot avoid them not knowing. Your information is recorded.
Insurance companies have a tendency to play hard ball when settling claims. Best to be informed now and save some money.

Experimental drugs being pushed into arms and the companies have no liability.

But the vaccination program is voluntary...and if you refuse, well no vaccine passport for you and you will not be able to go to the movies.

...and if something does go horrible wrong, the taxpayers are on the hook in the settlement.

Our insurer heard the same fake news, and sent out letters to all clients, advising there would be no implications for any claims due to covid, vaccines or no vaccines !!!

It's not fake news nor is it 'antivax' fear mongering.

It's the law..your estate cannot sue Pfizer for damages if you voluntarily took an experimental drug and die .

The government let them them off the hook on your behalf.

That is not relevant to the OP. The post was about insurers not covering clients with covid related claims or disabilities, regardless of whether the client was vaccinated or not.

You are mixing two entirely different subjects. The government has indemnified vaccine producers which is hardly the same as declaring your insurance company will not honour your policy if you are vaccinated.

Vaccine manufacturers are not the only recipient of government protection from COVID-related law suits. There's quite a number in Ontario.

But for the the same reason..as the OP says..insurance companies 'could' deny a claim, because you voluntarily took the vaccine...

However the likely hood, as was pointed out, won't happen and many have come forward and said they wouldn't.

That whole post is not on topic....the topic is about getting the vaccine...not the virus.

OK so I am not sure who you may have life insurance with, but I cannot find any company that will void it, just got off the phone earlier with Coop and mine will not be voided, Manualife will not void it either, nor London life. Maybe you have your life Insurance with some company that would never pay to begin with some fly by night two bit company. Coop is encouraging their customer to get the shot.

From what I have been able to figure out, this is Fake news which began on as usual facebook.

Find and Name one insurance company that will void your insurance.

example...you voluntarily take the vaccine, you get a blood clot in you brain and die. Your insurance company says it will pay out your policy....but who can you sue for wrongful death.

As it stands...you can't sue the company...so I guess you go after the Government for authorising it's 'emergency use' ...good luck with that.

Pretty much. All these stories circulating about "this vaccine" has terrible side effects or "that vaccine" is ineffective after a certain amount of time is all BS,too. People that start that garbage need to be locked up. The harm "fake news" can do with this is horrendous. It can literally cost people their lives.

Just checked with my Dad and does not invalidate his either. I doubt if anybody can find and insurance company in Canada the will void there life insurance

I wouldn’t say it’s all BS....I know of two cases personally that resulted in serious issues, a day after getting the shot. Both were elderly people in good health. In one case, he was on a ventilator and was not expected to survive....but thankfully, he has gotten better, still in hospital though...

Lots of Meds have serious side affects, Some are more sensitive then others. I'm one of those people that has never had any side affect from any medications, my wife on the other hand gets most of the side affect any med says you will.
