Interesting video ! Still early yet for shrooms but soon ! Asparagus is still a ways off.
Just pulled the first handfull of asparagus from the garden, as long as we don't get a freeze should have quite a bounty by the end of the week. Leek has recovered well and made a nice adding to this mornings omlete. The ramp patch just started to leaf out. Still think its early for the wild stuff just yet.
Went out this morning and got a bag full. Didn't take them all, left a lot behind to make sure there's some for next year.Quote:

No luck for me and the daughter, found a couple chunks of chaga on a fallen birch might try it just for fun.
That stuff is supposed to have some good medicinal properties.
I wasn't sure what to do with it so I googled it up, it is high in vitamin D as well as other stuff and it is supposed to kill viruses. It might be the cure for CV 19. LOL I'm kinda glad we stopped to pick it. No side effects as long as your not on medication. Maybe we should all be chuggin the chaga instead of the kool aid.Quote:

From what I understand for chaga to have it's medicinal properties it needs to be harvested off live trees and also in the winter when the tree is dormant.Quote:
