So like all you old people on here now, I also have to take meds everyday.:)
So now these pill bottles are starting to pile up and I am left trying to decide what to do with them. They have no markings so I cannot use them to measure liquids.
I hate to throw them out but I have 2 new ones every 3 months now and currently have 6 empty ones.
Seeding plants, after putting a hole in the bottom, smaller ones split and tape back together to allow it to be opened without damaging the plant.
For rigging rods when travelling, just cut a notch in them so the line or part of the lure can come out (spoons can just have the trebel inside). I guess you could even use it with bigger lures and put one on each trebel.
Storage for small screws or nails.
They hold patch and balls nicely, patch then ball, repeat until bottle full (make sure it won't rattle). Works for wads, shot card and premeasured shot too, one barrel per bottle.
The could be used to put a few shells in for 22 I guess if you worry about a cardboard box falling apart in your pocket.
I saw someone use them markers for fishing, a hole in the top, the line (old fishing line should work), a stick (think 12" ruler with v notches) and a sinker. I haven't used it. I tend to use old fishing net floats or yogourt drink bottles.

they do come in handy for many things, but after I have a good stockpile, they go in the recycling bin
Some of the tall ones are handy small parts
Have one keep my bow string wax in just in case it decides to melt make a mess in the jar
My dad gave me some big ones, great for keeping bore cleaning patches in.
Smaller ones are great for keeping hooks, lead sinkers etc.
I had a bunch of ice fishing jigs set up with fluorocarbon leaders and it was handy to have one pill container for each to prevent the rats nest in my tackle box.
I like Oaknut’s idea too.
I also put them to good use especially the bigger containers.
One thing that I do probably because I am hyper sensitive to it and in my field of work it is a big no-no to disclose patient information is that I take a Dremel tool to the information on the label. I tried to peel them off but they are stuck on there real good. Especially if I will be discarding them in the blue bin. No different than cutting up a credit card or shredding sensitive information IMHO. Protect your data and privacy.
