anyone use this scope?
i want to get a low powered scope with a little bit of magni for my shotgun.
i cant seem to find to many options around though without smashing my bank account lol.
any input is greatly appreciated
(links/ suggestions/ share what you use on your shotgun)

I don't own one of those per say, but have heard good things about them. If the price was right, I would give it a try.

Try this website.If for not pruchasing-at least for info about the scope ,which is designed for shotgun.
ps-i had once a lowly Bushnell scope for my shotgun(20 G though)which was excellent scope for less then 100$.
The field of view was bar to none,and the optics was good for 100 y .
I still regret selling it with the gun.

I have one on my turkey gun. It has held up to recoil from 3.5 inch turkey loads for several years with no problem.....it’s mounted on a saddle mount on my 870.....

I've owned one and it worked fine providing but I did not expect too much from it. With optics you tend to get what you pay for. The challenge is not paying for what you don't need.
Bushnell also made the trophy 1.75-4x32. If you can find one, a step up on the banner for $150. I have one on my turkey gun. Clearer glass compared to the banner I had on a rimfire which I found hazy.
I have a few including the one you're looking at for your shotgun. No problems with any of them. A few of my friends and family use them too.
The most noticeable difference between the Banner and higher end scopes to me was they are a bit "jumpy" when getting them zeroed. Meaning the click adjustments work a little more crudely than on expensive scopes. Otherwise, they're an good value scope.

I had this scope (3-9x40 I believe) come on a Savage Axis 2 in 30-06. It wasn't tightened/installed correctly from the factory and made for an interesting trip to the range...wondered why shot #3 I wasn't even hitting paper. Scope moved around and after 3 shots the reticle was all messed up. Glass cracked inside.
Brought it to Bushnell HQ in North York and they replaced it no questions asked, but sold the replacement so I can't comment on actual field use. I do remember it being very clear on those first few shots though!

Over the years, I’ve owned 3 Bushnell scopes and had trouble with each of them e.g. loss of nitrogen, internal lenses coming loose, crosshairs breaking. I’ll never buy another one thank you very much.
I have a Banner 1.5 x 4.5 on my Mossberg 535 for over a dozen years.
I shot lots of 3.5" heavy loads to pattern different loads and different chokes and shoot a bunch of Turkeys.
No problems so far. Great scope.

Wow, I have 7 bushnell scopes, maybe more, on rifles right now and used many more and never had an issue with them. Some were used, some were new, always held zero and besides the typical fogging up that all scopes had back in the day no issues. Dad still have a bushnell custom 4x scope on his 22 from back in the early 70s and never an issue, besides being tiny. I have had issues with old weaver scopes and tasco but never bushnell. I have never felt the need to spend $1000 on a scope for hunting in Ontario.Quote:

Dad bought a 7600 in 3006 back in the early 80s, he put a 1.5-4 bushnell on that rifle when new. A few years ago, I bought a Benjamin .22 pellet rifle that came with a scope. It doesn’t shoot worth a damn so was thinking about switching scopes. I’ve also had a few Leupold without problems, for some reason I like Bushnell better to set up/ adjust.
Bushnell has to be Trophy or better, you can call them to ask which is designed for a spring air gun, they have a reverse recoil that will destroy expensive optics.Quote:

I must have a dozen dusk and dawn scopes. My .22lr, .22mag, .17hmr, 17hm2, .22 pellet gun, ..177 pellet gun.
All 4-12x40, 6-18x50 or 3x9. I have a few elite 3200, 4200 with rainguard on my high powereds, But I have no problems with the lower end bushnells.

I use the Bushnell Trophy 1.75-4 on my Beretta 391 Slugger and I love it. I cannot talk to the banner but this scope has been great and it is inexpensive.
well i put some slugs through it and turkey loads, held up very nice. im very pleased with it.
