One politician arrested. That's a start.
So if you are the leader of a political party, you should have an exemption from being arrested when you go out of the way to break the law. How nice. This guy is attempting to sell himself and his party, and he is out for publicity. How is he liable to govern a country if he can't think of better ways to advertises his leadership capabilities, other than by breaking the law. What on earth could he be think of.

It is not always self serving. There are a few honest politicians out there willing to take a stand on our behalf.
Actually I’d give Max points for defending our rights and freedom in the platform his party set out during the last election campaign. Unfortunate too many voters saw other political leaders or platforms more too their liking. That said, his recent efforts to defend our rights and freedom, come up hollow, when he chooses to break the law to do so. Granted he has an up hill build to give his party enough prominence to garner votes. Setting himself up as a law breaking revolutionary, goes to character and may not be the best approach.Quote:

Whether the Charter overrules provincial orders during a pandemic has yet to be proven in a court of law. Those tickets remain in force until proven otherwise. There are also many limitations on "free speech" under Canadian law. Exhorting people to violate public health orders may well be proven to be among them.Quote:
