Opening evening success kindof

With it being such a nice day out there today, I went for an evening sit. I got to the farm and setup in my tree stand by 6:30 pm. It didn't take long before the first deer exposed himself. A small spike buck 125 yds away makes its way to the bean field. A few minutes later I hear some noise behind me and over my left shoulder I see these two buck sparring.
They were around me for about 30 minutes getting as close as 25 yds from me. I stayed until last legal minute hoping the big buck I seen on my trail cam to would come out, but not today.... No kill, no shots taken but a nice evening to be on stand :)

A lot more exciting than listening to squirrels squawking while you're in the stand.

It’s good to see stage of bucks their still deciding who’s boss. I thinking not next week but the one after they’ll be chasing doe’s picking out their girls

Looking at the bucks together like that is neat. And a dream of mine with Excalibur twinstrike especially with two tags in my pocket Lol I would want cleaner shot but click on one click on the other. Oh my. I’ll keep that as a dream

Yes, itching to get back there but it's an East Wind all week... I need a West Wind for that location, so as frustrating as it is, I need to wait it out :(

Talk about frustrating. I went out last Friday for a crossbow / scouting expedition.
Saw fresh tracks but no deer seen.
I get home and a couple of hours later I see a nice doe eating grass at the end of my driveaway.

What a tease....lol
