Spent time in the bush last week checking things out.
Going out again tomorrow and next week.
Then there is muzzle loader the first week of December that I truly enjoy.
That is the time that the big bucks are more approachable.
Settled on this doe for now to fill a space in the freezer and was tagged by my son.
It was a 100 yard shot with the Savage 20 gauge.

I got a big doe at 7:30 Monday morning with my 20 gauge Mossberg.
Carcass weight going to butcher was 85 pounds, and I ended up with 48 pounds of boneless meat.
Had the first venison meal last night!
