Is the investigation ongoing or closed?
Since he is the trigger guy he should keep his mouth shut.
He is not the victim. No sympathy for a guy who did not PROVE the gun safe.
Is this not what we all learned in the hunter education course in some form or another?
Never point a firearm at someone. This was not a replica and shown to be able to fire live rounds by the crew.
He and another witness claims Baldwin never touched the trigger round went off by itself
very true, but do you think actors take hunter education courses? My understanding is they hire a person to take on the safety role on set, and I firmly believe that is the person at fault.
but fully agree, he should keep his mouth shut at this point, nothing more than trying to gain public sympathy
I really think he’s shooting him self in the foot on this one.
I do believe a revolver was involved.
It will not fire unless the hammer is pulled back.
Pretty obvious that a physical effort was put in place to allow the cartridge to fire.
Baldwin is no stranger to guns. He would have noticed it to be in the fire ready position.
Couldn’t have happened to a more appropriate person — typical Hollywood anti-gun liberal hypocrite.

Assuming zero guilt in this tragedy. He doesn't know who is too blame but it's certainly not himself! What an arrogant s.o.b. Hope he roasts on this.
I listen to how Baldwin described his handling of the gun at the time of the shooting. As he put it, he was being instruction on how to do so.. He indicated that he did not bring the gun to full-, but release the hammer, without having his fingered on the trigger, at which point the revolver went off. Okay, unless the sear was damaged. or the trigger was tied back for fanning. The hammer should never have gone home, but should have stopped in the half- position which is the standard safety position for a gun with a hammer. Baldwin is puzzled as to where the live round came from, in a gun that was suppose to be a 'cold gun.' I' m more puzzled as to why the gun went off, if the trigger wasn't depressed, when he released the hammer. The hammer should have stopped in the half- position.

To quote the Sheriff "Guns just don't go off by themselves." Great big aligator tears from this guy-a trained actor who can cry on cue. Even Stephanopolous isn't dumb enough to believe that line of shyte.
highly doubt anything the lame-stream media does these days is unscripted.... as an example just look at these pathetic fools they never ask Fauci or Biden any tough questions.. they trip over each other to drool over these fools, I dont think it will be any different for hollywood elite, anti-gun baldwin.... funny he is trying NOT to be held accountable for what happened... perhaps he will blame the victims for standing where the gun was aiming...how dare they...
The revolver and ammo are at the FBI lab in Washington for analyses. If the gun is defective, they'll know instantly. The investigation will be multi-faceted from how the live ammo got on set to how it was loaded into the revolver to how it came to be aimed and why it discharged. Baldwin admitted he had "insider info" that he likely won't be charged. That,in and of itself, will be extremely problematic. This interview was self-serving stupidity on a grand scale. Baldwin's lawyer will be having shyte-fits.
What would happen normal folk like us handling a gun and it goes off. Killing someone. Can we just say we didn't touch the trigger? Some blame has to be given to the one holding the gun. Why does it have to be loaded.

The problem remains, if his finger was not on the trigger, when he released the hammer which apparently was not full cocked, the hammer should have stopped in the half- position. For that gun to fire, under the circumstance as he described it. The trigger would have had to have been fully depressed. OR there had to have been tampering to remove the half- stop, OR the trigger had to be tied back to allow the gun to be fanned, OR the sear had a mechanical failure. Wonder what option they will eventually settle on.
However to maintain that the trigger wasn't depressed, when the gun went off is quite a stretch.
