I already got mine Cow/Calf same as last year .... in first chose
Now just waiting for hunting body , to get a Calf ....
And we are set for a Moose hunt ...
I love this new moose tag system....

I have 6 points and I am 53 years old. Hopefully I will be able to moose hunt again one more time in my lifetime... :)
No tag for me or my wife. Looks like its just bear and deer hunting this fall.

Drew our groups cow bow tag with the second choice so for the second year in a row I drew a tag that cost me zero points,
No 2nd bull tag this year but my 7 points with be a bull tag next season unless something drastic happens to the tags,
Nothing for our crew (WMU 50) again this year.

Picked up a cow/calf tag with my second choice, zero points this year as I had the bull last year. So a bull tag and a cow tag in our camp, now it's countdown to September.
Cow/Calf tag as well second choice second draw ! and I get to keep my points !
my first adult moose tag, going to be interesting ... ill mainly will be travelling to learn the WMU though. not expecting anything. maybe some walleye ...

The reason I ask is, I know of others who had more points than me who put in for a calf tag in this WMU during the second period and were not successful. That leads me to believe I got mine through random draw...which should then NOT affect my points. I just cant see any indication other than "successful" when I log in.
to the right of the successful result there is successful choice, it will say 1, 2 or 3 which tells you which choice you were successful for. If it says 1 it will cost you points.
You would have drawn in with your first choice because that's all that matters, and your friends must of had there calf as 2nd choice, if that's not how it is the system is broken,Quote:

I went 999 for first choice then applied for cow/calf second choice but ended up with a consolation calf tag on my 3rd choice. I’m hoping that one of the other guys drew a cow tag with their second choice… which would mesh with the bull tags we drew in the first draw.
So when do they take the points, so far I have all mine but I note nothing showing for 2023 so far, nothing added or subtracted.Quote:
