Just a general question.
If i purchase a migratory permit online, does that mean i am able to use the same for Waterfowl, Mourning dove and woodcock, or are they separate permits ?

It's all the same permit, whether online or in person at Canada post.
Sweet, thank you, wanted to be on the safe ! Becouse somebody at Cabelas told me theres separate migratory permits between waterfowl and mourning dove.. didnt make sense
You also need a valid small game license with it to be legal. Maybe that's what they were referring to?
Nope, i do have my small game, i dunno where the misunderstanding was, but glad i wrote here to ask.
As Dean F stated the Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permit covers all that. There is actually 2 parts to the permit; the stamp and the permit to be valid to hunt you must have both of them on you and produce when asked along with your Small Game licence . There is a brief summary of the Reg's that comes with the permit showing season dates and possession limits etc.. Price is 17 bucks plus tax 2.21 total 19.21. You can purchase just the stamp separately if you are into stamp collecting, cost is 8.50 plus tax.
Yup did that today:) thank you.
Thanks G
It makes you wonder from who he got his hunter education training and if the instructor might have skipped over not mentioning that in addition to waterfowl their are some upland game bird species that fall under migratory bird act When they open the dove season here in Ontario I argue with someone at the Canadian Wildlife Service about using lead shot on doves as they demonstrate upland game bird habits like the woodcock which can be hunted with lead shot. Pointing out in BC, at the time, hunters were given option of using either steel or lead shot. The best reason he could come up with is that we have to much environmental lead pollution, here in Ontario.
You don't stop hunting because you grow old. You grow old because you stop hunting.
