2022 Archery buck

My face is still swollen from poison ivy. But that poison ivy covered tree was worth climbing. :D
Nov.5,2022 on the family farm in wmu89. On my 10th consecutive morning hunt in various locations, this buck gave me a 9 yard broadside shot.
Another pass thru with the same VPA 3 blade that's been thru a couple other animals. A quick touch up, and it's ready to go back in the quiver. My first animal with this 62" Bob Lee Ultimate I picked up last year. 50lbs@28"

I'll do a skull mount this week like I did with last year's buck. And spend the rest of the season trying to fill an additional tag in either wmu92 and 88. I ambitiously bought additionals for both but was realistically expecting to have a 3-tag soup this January. :D

Boiled the skull Wednesday and took advantage of the sunny day we had Thursday to brush on peroxide cream and let it sit in the sun for the day. I was going to start working on a piece of wood to hang it on, but, I've now been informed that Santa already has something coming for me for that. So,guess I'll wait and see.

Thanks! No i'm right around 28", maybe a hair longer. So it's about 50lbs draw weight. The past couple deer have been with my 43# recurve. Also pass thrus. Havent hit a shoulder blade yet tho. My bears have all been with 50-52lbs bows. (Ontario legal minimum for bear is about 50lbs)

Good job, I have just over 26in draw and just under 46lb, psa ll black widow and my practice sessions are short, I could pull 50lbs a few times then I'd be done... lol

Ya it's about the max I'm comfortable with. My practice sessions are short as well. Just a few arrows every day. Every day being the key part. I will say, I love the feel of these Bob Lee super curve limbs at full draw. There's almost a bit of a let-off feel.

A black widow is still on my list tho. I've been wanting one for years but haven't pulled the trigger.
