Dam it, that means they are not going to buy my old gun and put me into a new bolt action.
I think a thank you should be sent out to all that notified their MP's of the BS that Bill C-21 was all about and that it did absolutely nothing to stop gun crimes...
Just saw Claire Lewis the retired OPP Police Commissioner on CP 24, according to his view our Aboriginal brothers may have saved our bacon because of the outcry from them across the country about not being able to enjoy their enshrined hunting rights probably another bridge to far for the Liberals.
We may have one battle with this but be rest assured they will come back at us with a so called fair refined bill that will protect all Canadians (B.S. )
[QUOTE=rick_iles;1209167]That would be Chris Lewis, and this is only round one. There will be more crap from the Liberal regime to come !!
I just watched Rosemary Barton of CBC this morning with Minister Mendicino and then a hunter from Alaska. The Minister was taken on a Bison hunt along with some other's by this hunter who is the head of the Game and Fish association. I am confident he is now seeing the big picture and they have got the message. Now that does not mean they are giving up wholesale on restricting some guns but for the most part I believe most all of our hunting rifles will be safe.
They can put lipstick on a pig, but,it's still a pig. Bill C-21 needs to go in it's entirety. It's simply garbage without redemption. Trash it and get back to the drawing board WITHOUT the hysterics from the usual shrill crew and urban snowflakes that wouldn't understand the shooting sports if came up and kicked them in the berries.
If I was a betting man I’d bet we’ll see another election in the not to distant future. Especially now that the NDP is not giving them full backing. This is him simply trying to save himself.
I remeber fighting Allan Rock the justice minister back then and my local MP the both towed party line even had my Mp at the range with local Law enforcement and iothers from the T.O. police all peaple I shot IPSC with it didn t make a differance . The only way is to vote the Lib. out and keep them out
My expectation is a shorter version of the firearms listed in the amendment will appear as regulations to the legislation which is how specific models of firearms have been prohibited in the past. So, I wouldn't be rushing out to buy an SKS, Benelli MR1 or Ruger PC9 just yet.
Nobody likes to be made a fool of,especially,a narcissist like Trudeau, but,he brought it all on himself. That's what arrogance and stupidity does. The first thing he'll do is privately throw a huge hissy fit, suck his thumb and mope, but, then,he'll want retribution. That's when he'll pull out all the stops to advance the Liberal disarmament policy. That's how people like him roll.
I probably knew a few of those IPSC shooters for the TO Police.
But seeing as you have brought up voting the Liberals out, I will assume voting the Conservatives in.
I hope we do not get a repeat of what happened in great Britain under Boris Johnston and lets make Great Britain Great Again.
They pull ou of the EU and now folks in Britain will be on par with Slovenia for their standard of living this year. Be careful what you ask for.
Oh they may bring back Boris to end up a backbencher but that would be about it. The latest poll in GB puts the Labour party 25 points ahead of the Conservatives in voting intentions.

Same poll would Boris Johnson be PM in 2023 16% Yes 69% No.
It David Cameron who set the referendum. A majority of voters in the referendum chose to leave the EU. There was also a general election in which the people of Great Britain elected the party that supported leaving the EU. The people spoke and the government listened.
Well here ya go boys: Marco Mendocino just announced “We are now getting to work with our parliamentary colleagues to craft a clear solution that will keep assault-style weapons off our streets,”
He said this this afternoon. TC
The vote was very close and history has shown us that pandering to nationalist might not be the best policy. This move by Conservatives to stay in power at any cost has basically bankrupted the UK economy, this would be akin to Prime Minister Trudeau taking Canada out of NAFTA and abandoning our biggest trade partner. When you promise the people that you will make GB Great again and you end up with this mess the Conservatives own it.
This is far from over
after all the liberals have until 2030 to 100% disarm the Canadian public to meet the agreement they signed with the UN
Maybe time for the pro gun control folks to SET THE AGENDA. They need to start forcing the Liberals to explain to the public what they mean.
Lawful gun owners seem always to close the barn door after the horse has left, HOW COME?
Its time to buy TV time or media advertising space across the country with those simple questions.
Why the blame is on Conservaites for this.
They never intended to take the guns in the first place.
This comparison is almost as fair as : Blaming the homeowner of not having grating on their windows on his house-which was broken into , and the house was ransacked.
They get the blame because they were given a mandate by a majority of Canadian voters to end this wedge issue and when they had the votes and were in power for years did nothing to this festering sore. If you want to look into the history of gun control issues in Canada you will get a few nasty shocks about who proposed and passed changes over the years.
Interesting read about KC and the gun control issue vs PC-Thank You guys for the heads up.
While i did not read the "whole long story "list available on the net about Kim C.and other PC gun control blaming stuff what i have read makes me think and I can not get away from the feeling- the blame is just a diversion, and "sharing"of responsibilities.
While novel and "big"the changes imposed by Kim at the time were - to a great degree"reasonable" "non limiting/confiscating "and they were pretty much "NON avoidable"!To any Governement at that time.
After all-we were less then 2 years from the Montreal massacre.Something NEEDED to be done. Maybe we should say Thank You to Kim,because who knows what else the left would impose AT that TIME! Did anyone blaming Kim, thought about that?
Knowing their apporach-likely more"in depth"and "hurting"changes would take place.AT that TIME!
Today-long after the sad Montreal massacre(1989-2021= 32 years!!!) the Left is STILL using that ocassion, for justifying their actions . TODAY! While conveniently "being quiet"aboth the truth behind PortaPique massacre-as trigger point and justification of the latest gun grab.
Yet-we tend to lean into this set of disinformation and half truth. That works only for those, who wants majority of Canadians to follow half truths and the "lets share the blame-so we do not look that bad"game.
Why we throw out the fact that Harper dismantled the vasteful Gun Control? Brought upon us by....?
I am no PC memeber, and have many things i disagree with them-but guys, just think for a second!
What did the Romans say- Divide and Rule?
Somehow......familiar term,eh?
You are right, so I hope that if we see a change in government or even if its the same that the gun community in Canada insists that ANY LEGISLATIVE changes proposed in the future do not come via Orders in Council.
Firearms laws affect the whole nation, so need full debate in Parliament before changes are made. IMHO.
As you can see by the Alberta stance and I believe Saskatchewan the country is already demanding this.
