Spring is in the air though it doesn't look like it with the snow coming down. Have a dove checking out the nesting basket on the pouch which should have woodcock passing through in the next 2 weeks.

Where i live the Robins and Crackle's are back they probably wish the were stiill down south with this crappy weather today
I don’t know about you guys but when spring is in the air, I got turkey hunting on my mind lol
Was out walking a new pup on the 19th of February and saw a robin. That has to be the earliest for me seeing one. I bet it was sorry to be up here so early what with the weather we've had since then....
all birds are back now even the hawks here. Now is the time I think of jigging the Detroit River
Have seen robins for three weeks now
Red Wing Black Bird males started showing up last weekend. Females will be a few more weeks. Another sure sign are the many, many Turkey Vultures.

Sap has not run yet up here. But the crows are back so that’s a good sign springs around the corner
With the sun burn I got on Thursday I'd say spring is in the air lol.

Around millbrook robins stay all winter by the artisian well water where it never freezes
But the last week alot more turkey moving around
-7 and snowblowing the driveway this morning didn't feel real springlike to me!
Going to be the coldest closer in years definitely going to bring the pop up. Will feel like minus 18 in the morning.

Looking like a mild week ahead and a lot of wind from the south. Them little fellas should be on their way!
Waiting till the snow clears before breaking the dogs winter hiatus. Figure by the end of the week should be good to go.
Hopefully soon, yesterday morning was -22 after wind chill. By the looks of the weather I should finally be able to tap the maples on Tuesday.
Pup flushed her first one in Belleville today. Don't think she really even knew it was there but still.... They're back!

We have been seeing them since Sunday around London.
Still a foot of snow in the bush here north of Barrie, but isolated bare patches under conifers or on southern exposures are holding WC.
Hard to believe the difference in snow depth between Ottawa and Prescott (where the 416 hits the 401).
Must be Spring; the chipmunks are out. :)

Hoping we lose some snow this week. We have an upland test for Luther Marsh HRC April 15. We need to work on sit to flush and walk ups.
:fingers crossed:

Got out for some much need exercise and happy to report laid eyes on 5 woodcock. Good to see them back especially considering running the hydro corridor which really isn't their preferred habitat anymore. Guess any port in the storm is good. Wish 'em well on their journey north.
