14 million lost jobs.

Well I talked about this awhile ago last year maybe the year before just after the lockdowns. New reports show its a reality.

New reports from the wef show a 2 percent jobs loss or 14 million workers world wide by 2027 or in the next 5 years. Even cnn did a piece on it.

Welcome to our future as machines take over our workplaces. Factory workers ID be scared. Because the next big update may have you walking out without a job.


Yes Canada will be eliminating jobs too
We already are. We can't biuld more gas plants in Ontario because we are phasing them out. We pay more untill they fix it with more automated workers and a cleaner energy with a lower carbon footprint.


The grass is never usually greener on the other side.

Our allies are doing it so we have to keep up the Jones. Again that sides us with the wef and un agendas. Where they "work with industry and government's around the world".

well since they can't find enough people to fill the current jobs needed, perhaps that isn't a bad thing.
I was in Michigan the other day and the McDonalds was advertising $21/hr looking for employees. That's USD for a job at a fast food joint and they can't fill the jobs? Not sure where all the workers went, but clearly there is a lack of willing employees

I think it's good and bad and the timing couldn't be at worse time . Banks are collapsing millions will loss their jobs permanently,when they call a recession that will wipe away at least a million more jobs in the usa . Maybe even more who knows. People are struggling to pay their bills and keep things together while we hold off work to wait for their better technology. Cost of living will go up whipping out the rest of the middle class we will end up with the top and the rest.


If people aren't working where do they get their income from? Maybe people don't want to work at crappy McDonald's I don't blame them lol. Those are just the beginning of job cuts. As we make our transition we will cut jobs and add robots a factory that has a 1000 workers could be switched over to run with 750 workers leaving 250 workers in the dark.

Like I asked last year what is the cost of this transition? All the people that we should be focusing on have warned us already they have openly said it meetings as it will better the world.

But what will it cost us? They never told us personally why would they. But they have hinted it out.

Welcome to the beginning of the opportunity this went along with it. They know what they are doing .

I don't know, there just doesn't seem to be enough people who need to work. I find it mind boggling.
I can remember when I graduated saying I'd do anything for $10/hr. Granted that was 30 years ago, but I sure wouldn't have turned down a job at McD's that paid over $56K a year. Those used to be part time jobs as you worked through school, now they can't fill positions at those pay rate? Amazing

I watch my neighbor who is on social assistance chopping wood, moving furniture, cutting grass, doing everything a normal able adult can do. Every couple weeks he ties one on and drinks until he pukes in the yard then they have a domestic.

I think a lot of these people make income through kijiji or marketplace in cash or else leach off of family members.

I worked multiple minimum wage jobs (at the same time) before I was accepted into a trade. People don't have that hunger anymore, they get things too easily. Rest assured I do work with some 1st generation Canadians who definitely have that hunger and will fill the gap.

People seem to forget that for the most part Baby Boomers are now retired and generation X (My generation) is starting to retire. I have at least 1 friend that retired at 48 another at 52 and my boss is retiring in 3 years at 60 and I will retire in 6 years at 60.

The next generations well they haven't figured out what they want to do yet.

There's a ton of pre automation technology coming into construction in the past couple of years, remote controlled cranes and drill rigs caught my attention as that eliminates 1 job per rig in some situations (spotter). Designers have been eliminating field welding where possible for at least a few years. Businesses will adapt no matter what, as long as everybody has the same labor shortage, they will be able to charge whatever is necessary to get the project done.

You still need an operator with a loader. But the floor cleaners lost a job from automatic running machines that's all mapped out to mop and clean the floors.

I'm only 40 and have worked since I was 12 with my first paper route it paid for my own lunches when I was in school. A pepperoni round sub was I think was 2 bucks back then. Was pumping gas by 16 and working full time including by the time I was 18 I'd work 100 hours a week if possible even when I made 10 bucks an hour I still cleared 1000 buck pay checks after taxes.

Now it seems people and the younger generation don't want to work. They think there is no point when the cost of living is so high. That is a problem. When you can blow your paycheck over the weekend . Takes to much of their time all they ever do is work and no time them lol.

Maybe it's the school's telling them they can do what everthey want and everyone makes this grand living. They are to triggered. The police are not even aloud to go to the school's as it could trigger some students. That's an issue. How wacked is that. The police will trigger the students just like the queens passing. Couldn't talk about because it could trigger them.

A good kick in the but would trigger them I bet lol. We are becoming softer this softness may also play a role. Hard to find good workers the last 5, 10 years. They are to involved in their feelings to work I guess.

Never of the 26 years have I had a sick day. Not even during covid times. I show up everyday and do my job. Even when u was a kid and hung over . Took over an hour to walk what is 15 minutes. Got to work an hour late and puked for 3 hours untill the boss arrived. Good thing we worked in pairs. Some lady came in cused me out why I was just sitting inside when it was busy. I instantly walked by her and barfed in the toilet . She understood lol.

Hey at least I showed lol.
That's why I have never had to worrie about a job I can work anywhere but preferably the outdoors anywhere I have worked would love me back.

I was going to mention this the other day I kinda did by saying it was just the beginning. But if this 14 million is just the first round in 5 years what's after that? We are just in the beginning stages like I said they have admitted in meetings that only a few are needed to keep things running. Only the selected highly trained will have a good a job . Automation has been taking over manual labour since the industrial revolution for about 250 years now - replacing manual labour with machines, much to the benefit of mankind. It's not something that a rational person would fear or rail against. Where we are seeing changes in it now is that the higher minimum wages are, the more money a company can spend on automation and still have a cash-positive outcome. It's not news - even 40 years ago we - as high-school age kids - were warned not to plan on getting through life on manual labour jobs - even to the point that entering the trades was discouraged. (Hindsight shows us that construction trades would have been a good move, but manufacturing trades - machinists for example - maybe not so good).

Don't worry about the automation - find a job that automation won't replace - and there are a lot of them. Job prospects in the past couple of decades are far better than they were in the 1970s and 1980's.

As far as the lament about floor sweepers losing their jobs to automation... well - if that was your career plan - a floor sweeper - then you deserve what you get. That may seem a bit harsh - but a career floor sweeper? Is that really a step up from a career welfare bum?

Not a good idea.
In Ontario , you get $850.00 a month. Rent for a one bedroom is $1800.00 + in London and it is nice to be able to eat once a day somehow. You can go to the food bank , but you have no transportation to get there.
Unless you have special support , you end up on the street. Many on the street never finished high school, have learning disabilities, mental health issues etc ,so it's very hard to get a job. They would be thrilled to have a job that would pay more than $850.00 a month.

( Have worked with special needs people for MANY years. Presently supporting a family with 2 autistic kids. )

See all those government jobs ? Those are not beneficial for the economy they are paid by the working class.

Canada too has added more federal positions , health care and assistance workers. They are all paid by the worker's so our biggest gains in our growth are paid by taxpayers. Canada I think added 8 thousand federal positions in February our latest jobs reports is a fake positive as a great deal of new hires is not helping the economy grow they are payed by the working people.

The problem is we are not just going to be replacing hard manual labor .lots of jobs at risk. Bankers, receptionist ,factory workers, translation speakers plus many others.

They have lots of jobs on their site that shows where the losses and gains will be and where ai or robotics will have a place.

I do agree with what you are saying we were supposed to have flying cars by now too. But these times are a little different with the latest technology coming into play.

If the world switches to a digital currency is there a need for all the banks ? The usa just handed over another bank to jp Morgan Biden said it was a strategic option. JPMorgan is a strategic partners in the wef.

Justin Trudeau just said the 13 billion to volts wagon was a "strategic" option and no other companies were to get a deal guess what. They are another strategic partner in the wef as our finance minister sits on a board with these people.

The fednow program was an executive order
A digital currency will arise in the usa. Europe is also doing it . Can't take more than a thousand in cash or it's considered a Grey area and you could be penalized.

No mention on the mainstream about it. Canada is ready just waiting on the word from our government the program is already complete. The bank of Canada states this.

Almost tossed my Samsung a few months ago I'm not afraid of the new technology just some of the people in charge of it.

When we are described as hackable animals from the top it makes ya wonder what they mean.

The guy who helped biuld this new technology with Google just left because he is afraid of bad actors using it. That should be a concern

My other concern is that we rushing it without testing it. We are willing to reshape our society without even testing it. 60 % of the new tech they want is still being worked on. We are slowing our economy because we are waiting better. But that better is not even on the market yet. And worse it's almost come predictable with who is doing what.

Wanna take a guess at who will be funded next as a strategic partner? Maybe they will be another strategic option from our government. I know witch bank will get a bank run if needed again they are a strategic partner planning the future

Many are actually lazy and rebellious and choose the life style they’re living. Most of there mental health is caused or encouraged by there rampant drug use. How do I know? Well one of my childhood friends now lives that way. If he wanted a home he could have it, but he doesn’t want to abide be the rules so he’s willing he in the mess he’s in. Yes there are some real cases of people unable to work, but that group is definitely not a majority. It used to be,(up here at least) that is you were on welfare and were physically able to work you would be put to work cutting brush in the ditches and filling potholes. Coincidentally there was less healthy people on welfare and government programs.

One of the new "AI"s that's in the news is chatgpt. Have you used it? Try it and ask it something you are familiar with. I think you'll find that anyone who loses their job to technology like this wasn't doing much in the first place. The other thing - chatgpt is NOT AI. It's a text formatter that extracts info from the web and puts it together in plain english paragraphs.

True in some cases.
I'm very sorry your friend has not been able to move on; drug addiction is a very complicated problem as you know.
In London, welfare recipients are seen every 2 weeks to see if they are pursuing work or need to be moved to ODSP.

That might be one of the reasons but as it opens up the opportunity I think it's risking more job losses at the same time. I was just listening to a video about the coming job losses and numbers in 2023 and its a massive list. That's for the tightening though not ai or robotics replacement yet. They will eventually be replaced.

Didn't we just bring in a million new people hundreds of thousands should be of the working age that need jobs.

Some guy in Vancouver was selling it from a store posted 100% free of fentanyl . Heroin ,cocain, mdma, think meth and all ,no impurities or cut was also advertised.

Crazy and disgusting

YouTube sencoered some stories talking about it, the government wants to be more open about it yet you still can't discuss it lol. They could talk about the store being open but not mention what they were selling.

He did get arrested and is fighting the charges under a constitutional law of some sort. Just like they did with the other stores.

Heard 20 big box stores are closing at least 2100 locations across the usa. Some of them have been in trouble since the pandemic.

McDonald's could close a 1000 stores in California alone as it's going to cost too much money to keep everyone unless they raise the price another 20% . This is where I see them coming back with a 90% reduction in staff . They already have them built only need a couple people to run them. Close down a few locations and biuld backup a few with 90% less staff for more profits.

Will it make the food cheaper with less workers? Nope

Imagine Canada with 65 thousands lost jobs if this one company switches to its current system. Then the others will follow they are already working on a system that could take away hundreds of thousands of our jobs. In just this 1 sector .

Most stores I frequent now have mostly self check out. When people ask for wages for above what the job is worth you switch to something else. Call a spade a spade a cashiers job is / was worth 10 bucks at best.

There will always be automation and job losses and there will be new jobs. I remember when people said my job as a computer programmer it would be out sourced and it never happened in fact today there are more programming jobs then 20 years ago.

Since the ai and robotics have teamed up and are working together they are talking about robots working as doctors as they would make less medical mistakes. They talked about manufacturing and construction and how we will be using them to biuld skyscrapers. With the chatgpt they will learn with experience watching and learning and downloading the data to its brain. Bill gates said there is no reason for a secretary anymore with the use of the chatgpt. I get that were advancing but they plan on eliminating many jobs in the next 50 years. What are we going to do ? They say this and we see it playing out.

I know it's just a conspiracy but the people working with government's want like a 75% reduction and transformation that's all.

This 14 million is just the beginning to this new area ,even the bank of Canada yesterday was talking about a central bank maybe in 5 years we could loose our banking jobs an 80% reduction in staff it would be all digital. Goodbye accountants the government wants to do our taxes. There go's more jobs lol.

The point is there are consequences with this transition and the government's have already said this. But have failed the whole truth. But things are good think about 3rd of home owners have extended thier mortgage to over 30 years. Paying the minimum as the price goes up and the value goes down they sure got our backs while planning on a cashless workless society lol.

They have to break it before it gets better "many will suffer" they said . I think many are suffering but they don't care whole lot more job losses are coming and not even from ai or robotics side.

Let's see how most people are doing in the next 2 years. They just said things are going to get alot worse. How much more can the people handle? The usa government is even trying to stay out of default

To be honest I think a lot of these changes are moot, there will always be businesses taking over the latest trend and their inefficiencies will always distribute money to smaller businesses and people who know how to capitalize on the dollars they step over. I work for a company that grew 3 times the size in 5 years and the inefficiencies have brought on so many sub contractors it's unbelievable as well as a swollen likely 6 times amount of "management". The machine will continue to run likely at least until I'm in the dirt, this I'm confident in.


One thing somebody told me at a young age has always come to fruition.

For every winner in this world, there is a loser. You decide which one you are.

Considering how poor these cashiers are in performing their job (they take forever) I can do it much faster.
