I’ve previously posted elsewhere on the forum how I have been using deer chow and mineral blocks to attract game to my trail camera sites. I also mentioned that bears find deer chow very tasty and will set up shop for a few days until they eat it all. Here are some images of bears at 3 sites taking naps between feedings.

Cool feeders. They look a lot easier to use than messing with barrels. Great pics,too. Spypoints are working well. Thanks for posting.
Thanks! The feeders are simple to make and cost about $35. Basically it’s a 4” PVC pipe with a cap, 90 elbow, and a 45 elbow. I drill a few holes under the 90 in case of rain. I also put an eye bolt through the cap so it can be easily pulled off when it comes to replenishing the feed. The 4” opening controls the amount of feed that the critters can eat… probably why they camp out on them.Quote:

Awesome pictures Sam. I made a similar feeder and had it racket strapped to a tree, the bears ripped clean off.
The straps were junk after they got done with them.

I was speaking with an experienced bear outfitter today about this, and he says that this is a normal phenomenon in the spring.
