looks like snowmbile track studs hitting that rock to me.
could be cover crop that the farmer planted. Not sure what it is called but it looks like grass but dies off in spring.. Could be that stuff.
It could be Rye, I know a few farmers that plant that as their cover crop

Farmers plant Rye as a Winter ground cover down here in Norfolk County so I would go with that to explain the "green stuff".
If that rock was on a well used trail then I would go with snowmobile track making scratches as I've seen regulated/marked snowmobile trails on many farms here in Norfolk County. You might be able to get a local trail map and see if it's on the same land ?
