Anyone else have this issue?
Magazine takes 2 20G sabot slugs plus 1 in the chamber of the shotgun. Shot your first shot, open the action the shell extracts go to chamber the next round but the shells are jammed inside the magazine.
My guess is the brass edges on the shells are logged together some how? Only thing I don't like about this gun is the plastic mags. Only work around I've found so far is to only put 1 shell in the clip.

with my 220 the advice I got was to 'work the action with authority', if I babied the action stoppages would occur, did fast and forcefully and the problems went away.
Fair enough, I don't think it's a issue with the action though, I think the shells actually seat together after the Recoil and seat incorrectly? Been doing a little research I'm not the only one with the issue apperantly.Quote:

I have two friends that have the 220 in twenty gauge and both their guns do this. One had the mag replaced with no fix. Has to be a design problem. One sold his and got a TC Impact ML for 275 bucks brand new. It’s more accurate out to 120 meters than his 220 was.

I'm not sure if this is relevant to your situation, but I have an old Lee Enfield 303, and I remember that I had to pay close attention when loading the magazine to make sure the cartridge I placed on top of the one already in there had its brass rim ahead of the rim of the other cartridge. If the rim was behind it, the rifle would jam when I tried to strip the next cartridge from the magazine. This could be the issue with your gun - maybe pay close attention the next time you load the magazine to see if this is the possible explanation?
Yes now that you mention it, I remember having a Mosin Nagant surplus rifle that was like that. The stripper clips had to be stacked a certain way with the casing rims or it would jam.Quote:

I struggled with mine years back-had a misfire (of course at a nice buck at 80 yards:rolleye:)due of week spring issue(spring replaced by a local gunsmith-based on internet search- -after the nearby authorized service guy told me-the only problem is me:silly:- i do not know how to pull the trigger).
I had one of the first 220-and the issue i believe is fixed by Savage installing stronger springs.
The mag issue is there since day one,same with the bolt issue.
I learned to work the bolt-no issue anymore.
I will try the stacking advice next year( on the range first).Truth to be told-having only one shell in the magazine also did not help, way back.
Ever since i use my gun as a single shot .First shot counts mostly anyway.........
But hey-i learned by now to load the gun pretty damn fast:ashamed:(spare shells sitting just "right there where they are close by").
The gun is awesome otherwise.
So I emailed savage about the mag jamming, they replied to me simply asking me for a shipping address, and they are sending me a new mag, so I guess we'll see if that fixes it lolQuote:

my wife upgraded her mag to an all aluminum custom one made down in the states. it's much better but I have no idea who the manufacture was but I know it wasn't cheap and took a few months to get
