Video: Whitetail Buck Late November Action

Hello All,
Been a fun week in the deer woods with plenty of movement and scrape action. Here's ten videos showing activity from November 20-23.

What does all this activity really mean, I knew about most of all these but a couple I did not know.

These are all mock scrapes, Found, that I've been using for a number of years now. Use a zip tie to hang a branch, hand rake to work over the ground, and urinate in it myself. Pretty much all there is to it.
Bucks have been hitting them good yesterday and today - a bunch of pics came thru the cell cams showing the action. They definitely work!

Thanks for sharing that article, Gilroy - some great information there. If you watch the one clip of a buck I call Wide Guy in the above video, both of his lower legs are stained almost black from the rub urination over his tarsal glands.

Thanks for sharing, have you ever tried using rope? I was looking at Hodag and they use a hemp rope among a lot of other systems.
Code Blue Synthetic Pre-Orbital Gland was working to keep them at a licking branches all summer. I didn’t make a mock scrape this year.

I never have used rope but have seen plenty of videos and know its effectiveness. The natural scrapes I set up seem to do the trick so I guess I've never felt the need to alter my approach. Maybe next season I'll put up rope to see if there is a difference.

My thought with the rope is that it might last longer than using a branch. I guess you could tyrap another branch up in the same spot.
