In "most" cases, you get what you pay for. I say "most" because in some brands you're just paying for their marketing/advertising and the food is still sub par.
As was mentioned, your dog will determine what the best food is, and this is especially true in the case of premium kibble. One brand is not always the right brand for your dog. Dogs can get bored of their food so picking a brand that has different flavors that you can alternate/rotate through is something to consider as well.
